Toshiba's 100-inch Z670R mini-LED TV is down to $1,897.97 on Amazon from a $2,499.99 list price, and the company that sells it publishes no specifications for it at all. That company is also not Toshiba.

The set is sold and warranted by TVS REGZA Corporation, which uses the Toshiba name under licence. Its own product page for this model carries a heading reading "Now, here's the technical bit..." with nothing underneath it.
The listing describes a 100-inch 4K mini-LED panel with full array local dimming, a native 144Hz refresh rate and Fire TV with Alexa built in. At $1,897.97 that is about $19 per diagonal inch.
How good a mini-LED picture looks comes down to how many dimming zones the backlight has and how bright it can run. Neither figure is published for this TV at any size.
Who sells and warrants the Toshiba 100Z670R
The official site for Toshiba TVs in the United States ends every page with a copyright line for TVS REGZA Corporation. Its legal disclaimer calls the products shown "solely a representation of the products and services manufactured and/or sold by TVS".
Hisense's own newsroom records the arrangement behind that name. Hisense bought 95 percent of Toshiba Visual Solutions Corporation, with Toshiba keeping 5 percent, and took a licence to use the Toshiba brand for 40 years.
Support runs through the licensee, on a US line at 1-888-407-0396 and an email address at toshiba-visual.com. Amazon's detail rows put the cover at one year from the manufacturer, and no warranty document for this model is published.

The numbers that decide a mini-LED picture are missing
TVS REGZA does run a support page for this exact model. It offers five document slots for a manual, a spec sheet and firmware, and not one of them holds a file.
The same site does fill those slots for other Toshiba sets. The 55C350NU page carries a spec sheet PDF and an energy label, so the gap here is specific.
That leaves no zone count for a backlight covering 100 inches. For scale, Hisense's 85-inch E7SF turned out to use just 144 dimming zones, on a screen with far less area to light.
Peak brightness is absent too. The only contrast figure anywhere is Amazon's 3000:1 ratio, which describes the panel rather than what the backlight does with highlights.
The 144Hz claim has the same hole in it. Neither the listing nor the maker states an HDMI version or the resolution at which 144Hz runs, so 4K at 144Hz is not something either one has promised.
Four HDMI ports are listed with no version against any of them. The platform is Fire TV rather than Google TV, a split explained in this guide to the difference between a Fire TV and a smart TV.
How $1,897.97 compares with other mini-LED sets
Amazon.com holds the buy box on every set below and lists the Toshiba as in stock, checked on October 19, 2026. None of them is 100 inches, so the table shows what the money buys elsewhere.
| Model | Price | List price | Dimming zones as listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toshiba 100Z670R | $1,897.97 | $2,499.99 | Not published |
| Hisense 85U6SF Pro | $1,297.99 | $1,999.99 | Not published |
| TCL 65QM9K | $999.99 | $1,197.99 | Up to 6,000 |
| TCL 65QM7L | $898.00 | $1,499.99 | Up to 2,100 |
| Hisense 55E7SF | $470.27 | $749.99 | Not published |
TCL's 65QM7L at $898.00 publishes the number Toshiba does not, claiming up to 2,100 dimming zones. The 65QM9K at $999.99 claims up to 6,000, though it reads as temporarily out of stock.
The Hisense 85U6SF Pro is the closest in size at $1,297.99, with only 16 units shown as left in stock. The cheapest way in is the 55-inch Hisense E7SF at $470.27.
Size at this price is no longer unusual. A 98-inch TCL QM64L recently fell to $1,799.99, and a 98-inch LG Nano AI set hit $1,499.99.
Within the Z670R line, the 85-inch model was $1,147.99 on October 18, 2026. The last 15 inches therefore cost roughly $750.
What the listing does not tell a buyer
No delivery terms appear on the listing at all. There is no word on freight, appointment delivery or two-person handling, for a TV that weighs 136.7 pounds and measures 87.8 inches across.
The $2,499.99 anchor cannot be checked at the source. TVS REGZA publishes no price and points buyers at this same Amazon page, so the 24 percent saving is the retailer's arithmetic.
Panel type, colour gamut, input lag and speaker wattage are all unpublished, and no end date is attached to the discount. Prices on Amazon move without notice, and the figures here were accurate on October 19, 2026.
