The 75-inch TCL QM8L Mini LED TV is listed at $1,497.99 at Amazon, and the 50% badge beside it is measured against a price TCL's own store already crosses out. TCL sells the same 75QM8L for $1,599.99, so the live gap to the manufacturer is $102.00.

The $2,999.99 anchor is not invented. TCL publishes it, as the crossed-out list price on its own product page.
What Amazon has here is a 2026 SQD-Mini LED set with a 4K WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel, a native 144Hz refresh rate and four HDMI 2.1 inputs. The big headline numbers around it are harder to pin to this specific size.
What TCL charges for the same television
TCL's US store lists the 75QM8L at $1,599.99 against a crossed-out $2,999.99, and marks the size as available. Amazon's price sits $102.00 under that.
The rest of the ladder is priced the same way. TCL asks $1,299.99 for the 65-inch, $2,499.99 for the 85-inch and $3,499.99 for the 98-inch, each against a much higher list price.
Measured against what TCL actually charges today, this is a 6.4% saving rather than a halving. Amazon is named as both seller and shipper, and the listing shows the TV in stock.
TCL has been cutting prices across its 2026 range for weeks, as the 98-inch QM64L Mini LED Fire TV deal showed earlier this month.

The dimming zone count TCL does not break out
TCL's spec sheet gives local dimming zones once, as "Up to 4000+ Discrete Dimming Zones". That single row covers the 65, 75, 85 and 98-inch models together.
Peak brightness is handled the same way, as "Up to 6000 Peak Nits" for the whole series.
Neither figure is broken out by screen size. TCL publishes no 75-inch zone count and no 75-inch brightness figure, on its store page or on its spec sheet.
Both are ceilings for a range that spans 65 to 98 inches, not confirmed specifications for this panel. The Amazon bullets repeat them without that caveat.
The listing also claims a 7000:1 contrast ratio. TCL's spec sheet has no contrast row at all, so that figure comes from the retailer rather than the maker.

TCL lists "Game Accelerator 288" under gaming features rather than as a refresh rate, and does not say what resolution that mode runs at. The native panel refresh row reads 144Hz.
HDR support is the full set of Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. HDR10+ sits on TCL's spec sheet but is missing from the Amazon bullets, which undersells the set.
How it compares with the other sets in the same sale
Two other televisions in the same deal group have live prices. Neither is a close match on size or on panel technology.
| Television | Price | List price | Panel |
|---|---|---|---|
| TCL 75-inch QM8L | $1,497.99 | $2,999.99 | SQD-Mini LED QLED, 144Hz |
| Samsung 77-inch S90H | $2,297.99 | $2,797.99 | OLED, Motion Xcelerator 165Hz |
| Hisense 65-inch E6SR | $377.97 | $549.99 | Hi-QLED, no Mini LED claimed |
The Samsung is an OLED and costs $800.00 more for two extra inches. The Hisense listing claims Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, but never mentions a Mini LED backlight or local dimming.
Other recent price drops in the same bracket include the 75-inch Amazon Ember Mini-LED, the Sony 65-inch BRAVIA 5 Mini LED and the cheaper TCL 55-inch F7D QLED Fire TV.
What the listing does not say
TCL prints "TBD" for power consumption across all four sizes and leaves the Energy Guide row empty, so running cost is unpublished.
The Bang & Olufsen system is sold as upgradable, but the wireless subwoofer and the Dolby Atmos FlexConnect speakers are optional extras rather than parts of the box.
Neither TCL nor Amazon gives a 75-inch zone count, a contrast figure from the maker, or an end date for the discount. Prices at both were correct at the time of writing and can change without notice.
