Logitech sells the MX Master 4 in three colors on its own store, all at $119.99, and none of them is a Special Edition. Marketing images said to show a Logitech MX Master 4 Special Edition began circulating on October 15, and every detail about that mouse still comes from those images alone.

Logitech has published nothing about it. There is no product page, no SKU, no price, no availability date and no press release, in either the US or the German store.
What Logitech's store actually lists today
A search of Logitech's US store for the MX Master 4 returns six listings and no more. The standard mouse appears in Graphite, Pale Gray and Black, the Mac version in White Silver and Space Black, and the business version in Graphite.
Logitech's German store is worth checking too, because the images surfaced in Germany. It lists Grafit and Hellgrau for the standard mouse, plus the Mac and business versions, and the words Special Edition do not appear on the page.
The only MX Master 4 entry in Logitech's newsroom remains the launch release from September 30, 2025. That makes this a report about a variant of a mouse that has been on sale for roughly a year.

What the leaked images have been reported to show
The reported design pairs a light main body with darker side grips and several red accents. The left button is said to carry a white pattern with red graphics, while the right button has Special Edition printed on it.
Markings and numbers have been reported across the upper shell, along with a red to pink gradient near the side grip and a reddish orange button behind the scroll wheel. The hardware has been reported as unchanged.
None of that can be checked against anything Logitech has put out. The one claim worth flagging is the printed artwork, because no MX Master that Logitech currently sells has graphics on its shell.
MX Master 4 specifications Logitech does publish
Logitech lists a Darkfield high precision sensor running from 200 to 8,000 DPI, adjustable in 50 DPI steps, with a nominal value of 1,000. The mouse has eight buttons, a gesture button, a MagSpeed wheel with smart shift and a horizontal thumb wheel.
The battery is a rechargeable 650 mAh cell rated at 70 days per full charge. Logitech says a one minute charge returns up to three hours of use, and the USB-C cable is not included.
Connectivity is Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 with a 33-foot range, and a USB-C Bolt receiver ships in the box. The mouse measures 128.15 by 88.35 by 50.8 mm and weighs 150 g.
Logitech calls this the first MX mouse with haptic feedback, delivered through a thumb-side surface it names the Haptic Sense Panel. Anyone comparing it to the firm's gaming line can read the Pro X2 Superstrike haptic mouse review for how that idea lands in practice.
The other headline feature is the Actions Ring, an on-screen shortcut overlay that needs Logi Options+. Logitech claims it saves up to 33% of a user's time and cuts repetitive mouse movements by 63%, from an in-house study of 37 MX Master users across eight desktop actions.
What Special Edition has meant at Logitech before
Searching Logitech's own store for Special Edition returns gaming collaborations rather than office mice. The G309 Kamisato Ayaka Special Edition mouse and a matching G515 keyboard are the products that carry the badge.
That G309 sells for $79.99 and its listing repeats the standard model's figures, including 68 g with POWERPLAY and 86 g with an AA battery. The badge buys artwork, not different hardware.
No previous MX Master appears on Logitech's store under that name. The MX Master 4 variants Logitech does publish are the Mac and business versions, both at the same $119.99, which is the pattern seen elsewhere in the firm's comfort-focused lineups.
What is still missing
No price, no launch date, no regions, no SKU and no word on whether this would be a limited run. Those are the five things that would turn a render into a product, and not one of them has been reported.
Logitech's published lineup has already drifted once. The September 2025 release named a Graphite Charcoal finish for North America and Europe that the current US store does not list, which is a reminder that color lineups move after launch.
Until a listing appears, the sensible reading is that someone has seen artwork, not a product. The standard MX Master 4 remains at $119.99 on Logitech's store, and setup for any of these is covered in this wireless mouse setup guide.
Prices and lineups can change without notice.
