TCL's 55-inch F7D Series QLED Fire TV is $349.99 at Amazon. The $50 cut is measured against Amazon's own "typical price" of $399.99, not against a manufacturer list price.

That distinction matters, because TCL does not sell this model itself. Its US site lists no F7D series, and TCL's Canadian product page shows the 55-inch version sold out with no price attached.
The set is a 55-inch 4K QLED running Amazon's Fire TV software. TCL's own spec table confirms quantum dot color, which is more than several budget QLED sets bother to document.
The same table also lists a 60Hz panel. The number the listing leads with, Motion Rate 240, is something else entirely.
What the $349.99 listing includes
Amazon ships and sells the TV directly, so no marketplace reseller holds the buy box. The listing shows it in stock, with free scheduled delivery from October 9.
There is no Prime gate on the price. Prime membership buys faster delivery here rather than a lower figure, which is worth checking during a Prime Big Deal event.
The same page carries a used offer at $328.99. That is an open-box listing in Very Good condition, not the new-price deal.
The 2026 model shows a 4.0 rating from 234 ratings, a small sample for a set this new. Fire TV pricing at this size has been volatile, and Amazon's own clearance rounds have pushed 4K sets far lower.

Motion Rate 240 is not the refresh rate
TCL's spec page states the refresh rate twice, as 60 Hz and as 60Hz. Amazon's own product details table agrees, giving the refresh rate as 60.
Motion Rate 240 is TCL's marketing index for frame interpolation, not a panel measurement. The bullets lead with 240, while the figure that describes the hardware sits lower down in a table.
Neither TCL nor the listing claims VRR for the F7D. The gaming features here are Auto Game Mode with ALLM and an on-screen Game Bar.
Both sources confirm three HDMI ports, and TCL's connection diagram labels the third as eARC. Neither publishes an HDMI version number for any of them.
How the F7D compares with other 55-inch sets
The sharpest comparison sits at exactly the same money. The Roku 55-inch Plus Series is also $349.99 and uses a mini-LED backlight, which the F7D's plain LED backlight cannot match.
Hisense undercuts both. Its 55-inch E6 Cinema Series Hi-QLED Fire TV is $299.99, although the listing warns that only 14 units remain.
| 55-inch model | Price | Backlight | Seller |
|---|---|---|---|
| TCL F7D QLED Fire TV | $349.99 | LED | Amazon |
| Hisense E6 Cinema Series Hi-QLED | $299.99 | LED | Amazon |
| Roku Plus Series QLED | $349.99 | Mini-LED | Amazon |
| Amazon Ember QLED | $489.99, Prime only | LED | Amazon |
The Amazon Ember 55-inch QLED is the outlier at $489.99, because that price is restricted to Prime members. Non-members are prompted to join Prime to buy at that figure, against a $589.99 list price.
Mini-LED keeps reaching this size bracket, as an LG 55-inch QNED73B at $379.99 showed, and TCL's own QM64L mini-LED fell below $500 in July. One nearby TCL option is worth naming for the opposite reason. A 55-inch TCL Q65 sits at $524.98, but a marketplace seller called Glazcoo holds that buy box rather than Amazon.
What TCL and Amazon leave out
Neither source publishes a brightness figure in nits. Neither claims local dimming or a zone count, which means the set should be read as having none.
Panel type, response time, input lag and color gamut percentage are missing too. TCL also contradicts itself on HDR, with feature copy promising Dolby Vision and HDR10+ while its spec table lists HDR10 alone.
The platform question is settled, at least. This is the Fire TV version of the F7D, and TCL ships Google TV and Roku models elsewhere in its range, with Xbox Cloud Gaming arriving on TCL sets separately.
TCL publishes no price of its own in any market, so the $399.99 anchor cannot be checked against the brand. Prices and stock at Amazon change without notice, and every figure here was verified on October 5, 2026.
