Plaud Introduces NotePin S Wearable AI Recorder for Meetings and Transcription

Plaud has unveiled the NotePin S, a compact wearable AI recorder designed to simplify how users capture, transcribe, and organize meetings. The announcement arrives ahead of CES 2026 and signals Plaud’s push beyond standalone hardware into a broader meeting productivity ecosystem.

A smaller wearable with smarter controls

NotePin S keeps the pin-sized form factor of Plaud’s earlier devices but adds a physical button for quick control. Users can start or stop recordings instantly and mark important moments during conversations without opening an app. Plaud positions the device for daily professional use, with multiple wearing options including a clip, lanyard, wristband, or pin.

The wearable includes 64 GB of local storage, dual MEMS microphones, and support for up to around 20 hours of continuous recording. Plaud says the microphones capture clear audio from several feet away, making the device suitable for meetings, interviews, and lectures.

Built-in AI transcription and summaries

Plaud bundles 300 minutes of AI transcription per month with the NotePin S at no extra cost. After syncing recordings, users receive searchable transcripts and AI-generated summaries that highlight key discussion points. The company focuses on accuracy and speed rather than real-time transcription on the device itself.

Plaud also added Apple Find My support, allowing users to locate the NotePin S if it goes missing - a practical feature for a device designed to travel everywhere.

Plaud Desktop bridges in-person and online meetings

Alongside the hardware, Plaud introduced Plaud Desktop, a free app that records and transcribes online meetings from platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. The app connects with the NotePin S so users can manage in-person recordings and virtual meetings in one place.

This software expansion shows Plaud’s strategy clearly. The company no longer sells just a recorder. It now offers an end-to-end system that captures conversations, converts them into structured notes, and keeps everything synced across devices.

Price and availability

Plaud priced the NotePin S at $179, placing it below many competing AI-powered meeting tools. The company markets it as an accessible option for professionals who want automated notes without relying entirely on phone or laptop recording apps.

Why it matters

Wearable AI recorders continue to gain traction as meetings return to hybrid formats. With the NotePin S and Plaud Desktop, Plaud positions itself at the intersection of hardware convenience and software intelligence, targeting users who juggle in-person discussions and online calls daily.

Plaud plans to showcase the NotePin S publicly at CES 2026, where it will compete directly with other emerging AI note-taking solutions focused on productivity rather than general-purpose voice recording.
