Oppo has officially expanded its premium midrange lineup with the global launch of the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 Pro Max, both powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. The two devices headline the Reno 15 series and focus on performance gains, large AMOLED displays, and high-resolution camera systems.
Dimensity 8450 brings a performance jump
Both models run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450, a 4 nm chipset designed to balance sustained performance and power efficiency. Oppo pairs the processor with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 storage, positioning the Reno 15 Pro lineup closer to flagship territory for gaming, multitasking, and AI-assisted features.
Display and design upgrades
The Reno 15 Pro Max features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the Reno 15 Pro offers a slightly smaller OLED panel with the same high refresh rate. Oppo continues its curved-edge design language, focusing on slim profiles despite the large batteries inside both phones.
Camera systems aim high
Camera hardware stands out as a major upgrade. The Reno 15 Pro Max ships with a 200 MP main sensor, joined by a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens. The Reno 15 Pro uses a similar triple-camera layout, tuned slightly lower but still targeting advanced photography and video recording. Both phones include a 50 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Big batteries and fast charging
Battery capacity remains another headline feature. The Reno 15 Pro Max packs a battery of around 6,500 mAh and supports 80 W wired charging along with 50 W wireless charging. The Reno 15 Pro comes with a slightly smaller battery, reported at about 6,200 mAh, while keeping the same fast wired charging standard.
Software and availability
Both devices run Android 16 out of the box with Oppo’s ColorOS 16 skin on top. Oppo has started rolling out the Reno 15 Pro series in select global markets, with wider regional availability expected to follow. Pricing varies by market, with early listings placing the Pro Max in the upper premium-midrange segment.
Why it matters
By pairing the Dimensity 8450 with large batteries and high-end camera hardware, Oppo pushes the Reno series further into flagship competition. The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max now sit as some of the most performance-focused Reno devices the company has released, signaling a stronger challenge to similarly priced rivals in 2026.
