LG 85-Inch Mini LED TV Drops to $899.96 at Amazon as Two Samsung Neo QLEDs Also Fall

Amazon is selling the LG 85-inch QNED mini-LED TV for $899.96 at the time of writing, which is $200.03 below the cheapest 85-inch mini-LED QNED that LG’s own store lists. The listing advertises a $50.03 cut, and that is the least interesting number attached to it.

The set is a 2026 model, 85QNED75BUA, built around LG’s a7 AI Processor 4K Gen9 and running webOS. Its technical details give a 60Hz panel and three HDMI inputs, so the money is going into screen size rather than motion handling.

Two Samsung Neo QLED mini-LED sets fell on the same day, each advertising a $300 cut. Neither cut survives a check against Samsung.

Where the three TV prices stand today

Samsung QN90H, 65-inch$1,197.99$1,497.99$18.43Four HDMI inputs, every one rated 4K at 144Hz

Price per inch uses each set’s nominal class size. The QN90H is the outlier at $18.43, which is 50% more per inch than the QN70H and 74% more than the LG.

The two cheaper sets sit close together. An 85-inch Hisense mini-LED was $947.99 on October 19, which the LG undercuts by $48.03.

The 85-inch LG is the one with a real gap to its maker

LG’s own store sells an 85-inch QNED75B for $1,299.99, and the step-down 85-inch QNED74B for $1,099.99. Amazon’s $899.96 is $400.03 below the first and $200.03 below the second.

Amazon’s $949.99 list price is itself $150 below the cheaper of those two. The anchor understates the gap rather than inflating it, which is the opposite of the usual arrangement.

LG’s dimension sheet names the Amazon unit 85QNED75BUA and gives an 85.2-inch measured diagonal, a 74.4-inch width and a 61.1-inch stand footprint. LG’s own QNED category page does not carry that variant code.

The 60Hz panel is the trade. LG publishes no brightness figure and no dimming-zone count for this set, and the zone count is usually the figure that decides how much a mini-LED backlight delivers.

Samsung’s QN70H is $2 under Samsung, not $300 off

The 65-inch Samsung QN70H is $797.99, against a $1,097.99 list price. Samsung’s own page for the QN65QN70HAFXZA carries a current price of $799.99, so Amazon is two dollars cheaper.

Samsung’s MSRP for that model is $1,199.99, which sits $102 above Amazon’s own list price. The advertised $300 is measured against a figure neither company charges.

This listing was $897.99 on October 22 and $997.99 on September 12. It has fallen $100 each time, and Samsung’s price fell $100 alongside it, so the two-dollar undercut has not moved.

Samsung does not list the QN90H in the United States

The 65-inch QN90H is $1,197.99, and it is the row to treat carefully. Samsung’s US television sitemap carries 720 product pages, and none of them is a QN90H.

The QN80H, QN70H, QN1EH and QN990H siblings are all in that file, so the absence is not a gap in coverage. With no Samsung page there is no Samsung price, which leaves the $1,497.99 anchor backed by nothing.

Samsung’s own 65-inch QN80H costs $1,099.99 and advertises the same Quantum Mini LED Full Array, NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and Motion Xcelerator 144Hz. That is $98 less than Amazon charges for the QN90H.

The QN90H does add Glare Free, Samsung’s anti-reflection finish, which the QN80H highlight list does not name. On the evidence that can be checked, it is not the pick of this group.

What the makers do not publish

Samsung gives no panel type, no brightness figure in nits and no dimming-zone count for any of these sets, and it never writes HDMI 2.1.

Its 144Hz on the QN90H arrives with Motion Xcelerator and variable refresh rate, and no native panel rate is stated. Samsung publishes no refresh rate at all for the QN70H, where the listing’s own rows disagree, giving 120Hz in one and 60Hz in another.

The one figure Samsung does spell out is port coverage. Its own port diagram rates all four of the QN90H’s HDMI inputs at 4K and 144Hz, including the eARC input.

LG’s site began refusing requests before its spec table could be read, so the 60Hz and the three HDMI inputs come from the listing rather than from LG’s sheet. Prices at Amazon move without notice, and none of the three listings carries an end date.
