Hisense 55-Inch CanvasTV Holds at $749.99 at Amazon as LG and Samsung 65-Inch Mini LEDs Dip Under $900

Amazon is selling the Hisense 55-inch Hi-QLED S7 CanvasTV for $749.99 at the time of writing, against a listed $1,499.99 that Hisense does not publish for this model or for any other CanvasTV size.

The same listing charged $699.99 on October 9, so the price has gone up $50 in 12 days while the advertised discount still reads 50%.

The configuration is a 55-inch 4K QLED art TV, model 55S7SG, with Hisense's anti-glare Hi-Matte panel, a magnetic teak frame, an UltraSlim wall mount and Google TV.

Two 65-inch mini-LED sets sit beside it in the same price band, and between the three of them only one is actually cheaper than its own manufacturer.

Where the three TV prices stand today

ModelAmazon priceListed priceWhat separates it
Hisense 55S7SG, 55-inch$749.99$1,499.994K QLED art panel with anti-glare Hi-Matte coating
LG 65QNED84BUA, 65-inch$649.99$899.99Mini LED, 120Hz native panel, three HDMI inputs
Samsung QN65QN70HAFXZA, 65-inch$897.99$1,097.99Quantum Mini LED, no refresh rate published

The CanvasTV is the only one of the three built to hang flat and display artwork, and it is the reason the 55-inch costs more than a larger mini-LED set here.

The 65-inch LG QNED84B is $649.99, which makes it the cheapest set in the group despite having the second largest screen.

The 65-inch Samsung QN70H is $897.99, and it is the one set in the group that undercuts its maker, by two dollars.

The $1,499.99 the Hisense is measured against

Hisense does publish a product page for the 55S7SG, created in March 2026 and still flagged as new.

That page carries no price. Its product record lists the 55S7SG at $0.00 with a discount of none, and every other S7SG size reads the same way.

The only CanvasTV prices Hisense has published are in a March 25, 2025 release covering the previous generation, which set the 75-inch at $2,499.99 and the 85-inch at $3,999.99.

No 55-inch figure appears there, and Hisense's newsroom carries no 2026 CanvasTV announcement at all. So the $1,499.99 cannot be checked against anything Hisense has said.

For scale on what a framed art TV costs, the 55-inch Samsung Frame Pro was $1,097.99 on October 6, and that price was two dollars below Samsung's own.

LG and Samsung both sit within $2 of Amazon

LG's own store sells the 65-inch QNED84B for $649.99, the identical figure, against an MSRP of $899.99 and a stated saving of $250.00.

So Amazon's $899.99 anchor is real, but the $250 is LG's promotion rather than a retailer cut. That has happened before, when LG's 98-inch Nano AI matched Amazon at $1,499.99.

Samsung's offer data for the 65-inch QN70H gives a current price of $899.99 against an MSRP of $1,199.99, with that price marked valid until October 22.

That puts Amazon $2.00 under Samsung. It also means Amazon's $1,097.99 list price is $102.00 below Samsung's own MSRP, so the advertised $200 saving is measured against neither of Samsung's two published numbers.

The same Amazon listing was $997.99 against a $1,197.99 list price on September 12. Both numbers have since fallen by exactly $100, and the advertised gap has stayed at $200 throughout.

Hisense describes the Hi-Matte coating as giving digital artwork the depth and texture of real paintings, and the set includes a motion detector that wakes the screen when someone comes near.

On the LG, the spec sheet is blunter than the listing. LG rates the panel at 120Hz native with VRR up to 144Hz, lists three HDMI inputs rather than four, and records HDR10 and HLG with no Dolby Vision row.

What the three makers do not publish

Hisense does not list peak brightness, dimming zones, HDMI port count or VESA pattern for the 55S7SG anywhere in the text of its product page.

Dolby Vision appears in the Amazon listing title and in Hisense's 2025 CanvasTV release, but not on the 55S7SG page itself, so it is a listing claim rather than a confirmed figure for this model.

Samsung is quieter still. It publishes no refresh rate for the QN70H at any size, while naming 144Hz for the QN80H above it and 120Hz for the QN1EH below it.

Omissions like that are common at this price. Hisense put just 144 dimming zones in an 85-inch mini-LED set, a number worth checking before a screen size decides the purchase.

Neither Amazon nor any of the three makers says how long these prices run, and Samsung's own offer is dated only to October 22. Prices at this end of the market move weekly, as a 55-inch TCL that sat a cent above its October 5 price showed.
