Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Drops to $949 in Google Store Sale as Pixel 11 Pro Hits $799

The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is $949 at the Google Store until Sunday, November 8, a $350 cut from the $1,299 it launched at in August. It is the biggest saving in a sale covering every current Pixel phone, and because the cuts grow with the price, stepping up to a Pro costs far less than usual.

The sale applies to unlocked phones bought directly from Google, in every color and storage size. The 256GB Pixel 11 Pro is $799, down $300, and the 256GB Pixel 11 is $699, down $200. That leaves the Pro just $100 above the base phone, half the usual gap.

So the useful question this week is not whether these are real discounts. It is which step up the sale makes worth paying for.

Google Store Pixel sale prices for every model this week

Everything below is sold and shipped by Google, and every unlocked version was in stock on Tuesday, November 3.

The regular prices are not inflated for the occasion. They match the launch prices in Google's August announcement, and the Pro XL held its $1,299 launch price well into October.

Is the Pixel 11 Pro worth $100 more than the Pixel 11?

For most people, yes, and the reason is the camera. Both phones are 6.3 inches, both run the Tensor G6, and both pair 256GB of storage with 12GB of RAM.

The Pro's main camera uses a 50MP sensor measuring 1/1.3 inches, against 48MP and 1/1.56 inches on the Pixel 11, according to Google's spec sheet. Its ultrawide jumps from 13MP to 48MP and its 5x telephoto from 10.8MP to 48MP, with zoom reaching 120x instead of 30x.

The screen is sharper too, and it can slow to 1Hz to save power where the Pixel 11 bottoms out at 60Hz. The Pixel 11 wins back a little on battery, with a typical 4,985 mAh against the Pro's 4,850 mAh.

If you rarely open the camera app, the $699 Pixel 11 keeps the same chip, the same memory and the same seven years of updates. Need more space? The 1TB Pixel 11 Pro is $1,149, also $300 off, and the bigger capacities add 16GB of RAM.

What the Pixel 11 Pro XL adds for another $150

The XL keeps the Pro's cameras and chip and adds size: a 6.8-inch, 1344 x 2992 display and a 5,115 mAh battery. It also charges faster, to 75% in about 30 minutes, though only with a 45W charger that is not in the box.

At $949, it sits $150 above the Pro instead of the usual $200. The more striking number is at the top of the range, where the 1TB Pro XL is $1,299. That is what the 256GB model cost before the sale began on October 30.

Four times the storage for the old entry price, plus the extra RAM, makes it the version to look at if you shoot a lot of video and keep a phone for years.

Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 get smaller cuts

Google is taking $100 off every Pixel Watch 5, LTE models included, which is double the $50 cut the watch carried in early October. The 41mm Wi-Fi model is $299.99 and the 45mm Wi-Fi model is $329.99.

Size decides battery life. The 41mm watch carries a 332 mAh cell rated for up to 30 hours with the always-on display, while the 45mm stretches to 40 hours. Both need an Android phone, and the coaching features need Google Health Premium at $9.99 a month once the three included months end.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 are $169, down $60. They run on the Tensor A1 chip and are rated for up to 8 hours with noise cancellation on, or 30 hours with the case. The cheaper Pixel Buds 2a are not part of the sale.

When the Google Store Pixel sale ends, and who it leaves out

The sale ends at 11:59 PM Pacific time on Sunday, November 8. The terms limit it to US shipping addresses and say it runs while supplies last.

Carrier versions are excluded. Every phone Google sells tied to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Google Fi stays at full price, so a carrier Pixel 11 from Google still costs $899.

The headline figures on Google's pages, from $189 for the Pixel 11 and $199 for the Pro, subtract a trade-in. Credits of up to $510 on the Pixel 11 and up to $700 on the Pro models stack with the sale until December 27. The final value depends on the condition of your old phone.

Without a trade-in, the cash prices are the ones in the table. Price was one of the concerns raised before the Pixel 11 launched. This week the best answer to it is the $799 Pixel 11 Pro, which buys the flagship cameras for $100 more than the base phone. Prices can change before November 8, so check the Google Store before you order.
