Google Pixel Watch 5 45mm Drops to $379.99 at Amazon, Matching Google's Own Sale

The Google Pixel Watch 5 in its 45mm Wi-Fi configuration is listed at $379.99 on Amazon, cutting $50 from a $429.99 list price. That discount is not an Amazon exclusive. Google is running the identical $50 promotion on its own store, where the same 45mm model also reads $379.99.

The real difference between the two is the clock. Google's promotion terms state that the offer "ends October 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT". Amazon publishes no end date for its price at all.

This is the Obsidian version, which Google builds on a matte black aluminum case with the second-generation Active Band. Amazon.com holds the buy box, and the page reads "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com". Stock is listed as In Stock.

One detail makes the price look better than the 12 percent figure suggests. The new Pixel Watch 4 in the same 45mm Wi-Fi size, also sold by Amazon.com, is $399.99. Last year's model costs $20 more than this year's.

What the 45mm Wi-Fi model includes

Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated with a Cortex-M55 co-processor, 64GB of eMMC storage and Wear OS 7.0. Google calls the screen an Actua 360 display, a 320 ppi AMOLED LTPO panel rated at up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

The 45mm case carries a 465 mAh battery. Google rates it at up to 40 hours with the always-on display active, or up to 72 hours in Battery Saver mode.

Google does not publish a battery figure with the always-on display switched off. It also publishes no test conditions, only a footnote saying battery life "depends upon many factors" and may be lower in practice.

Charging runs through the in-box Quick Charge Dock, hitting 50 percent in about 15 minutes and 100 percent in about 60. According to Google's charging footnote, that assumes a 30W adapter sold separately. The Amazon listing does not mention the adapter.

Google Health Premium is the cost the listing leaves out

The watch carries SpO2, ECG, cEDA skin conductance, far field skin temperature and multi-path optical heart rate sensors, plus Loss of Pulse Detection. None of that hardware sits behind a paywall.

The coaching layer does. Google attaches a footnote to its "adaptive coaching and personalized insights for your health, sleep, and fitness" reading: "Requires Google Health Premium subscription (sold separately), Google Health app, and internet connection".

Google Health Premium costs $9.99 per month. Three months come free with the watch, and Google's trial footnote says it "automatically renews for $9.99/mo after trial; cancel anytime".

However, Google never publishes a feature-by-feature list of what is free and what is paid. Its compatibility note says only that "some features require a Google Health mobile app and/or Google Health Premium membership". That boundary stays undefined on Google's own pages. Anyone arriving from a Fitbit tracker will recognize the arrangement, since the Fitbit app is now the Google Health app.

Software support runs to at least October 2029

Google's support documentation commits to "at least 3 years" of updates from the date a watch first went on sale in the US Google Store. Its table lists the Pixel Watch 5 with an October 2026 release and guaranteed updates until at least October 2029.

Google says those updates include security updates and may include feature drops. The Amazon listing says nothing about any of it. For reference, the same table gives the Pixel Watch 4 an October 2028 floor.

How the Pixel Watch 5 compares

WatchPriceBuy boxKey difference

Pixel Watch 5 41mm Wi-Fi$349.99Amazon.com332 mAh, up to 30 hours
Pixel Watch 5 45mm LTE$459.99Amazon.comAdds 4G LTE, plan sold separately
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 44mm$249.99Amazon.comCheapest Android option here

The 41mm Pixel Watch 5 runs the same chip and the same sensor set for $30 less. Its smaller 332 mAh battery is rated at up to 30 hours rather than 40, and it charges fully in about 45 minutes.

The LTE version of this 45mm model is $459.99, down from $529.99, because Google is taking $70 off LTE watches rather than $50. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 44mm Bluetooth undercuts all of them at $249.99, ahead of the Galaxy Watch 9 lineup that has been detailed in leaks.

None of these suit an iPhone. Google states the Pixel Watch 5 works only with phones running Android 12.0 or newer, and the Amazon listing says it is "not compatible with iOS devices". The Apple Watch SE 3 44mm GPS at $229.00 covers that side of the fence.

A few caveats sit around the edges. Several Pixel Watch 4 listings show prices under $379.99, but those buy boxes belong to Amazon Resale rather than Amazon.com, and the condition is open-box. Neither Google nor Amazon publishes the display's pixel resolution, and neither publishes a price history, so there is nothing here to call a low point.

Google also lists blood pressure trends and insulin resistance tracking as "Coming September 2026", a date that has already passed while the features are still described as coming. Prices and stock are as of October 8, 2026 and can change without notice.
