The Apple Watch SE 3 in its 44mm GPS form is $229.00 at Amazon, an 18% cut from a $279.00 list price. That anchor holds up, because $279.00 is exactly what Apple charges for the same configuration on its own store at the time of writing.

The watch on offer is the 44mm Midnight aluminium case with the Navy Blue Sport Band in Medium/Large, GPS only, and without AppleCare+. Case size and connectivity both move the price on this listing, so the cut applies to that one combination rather than to the SE 3 range.
No Prime membership is involved. Amazon shows the $229.00 to everyone, lists the watch as in stock, and names Amazon.com as both seller and shipper. No marketplace reseller is involved.
What the $229.00 configuration includes
Apple lists the SE 3 among its current watches, so this is the latest SE and not the SE 2 that still sells alongside it. Apple's comparison page groups SE 3 with the Series 12 and Ultra 4.
The 44mm case measures 44mm by 38mm by 10.7mm and weighs 32.9 grams in GPS trim, according to Apple's SE 3 tech specs. Its display runs 368 by 448 pixels across 977 square millimetres. The Medium/Large band fits wrists from 140mm to 245mm.

Apple says the 18-hour figure comes from testing in July and August 2025 on preproduction SE 3 units running prerelease software, each paired with an iPhone. The fast-charge numbers were measured with a drained watch, the Magnetic Fast Charger to USB-C Cable and a 20W adapter.
The sensors the SE 3 does not have
This is where the money goes. Apple's comparison page shows no ECG app on the SE 3, and the sensor list has no electrical heart sensor at all. The Series 12, Series 11, Series 10, Ultra 3 and Ultra 4 all carry it.
The Blood Oxygen app is missing too. The SE 3 version of the Vitals app reports heart rate, respiratory rate, wrist temperature and sleep duration, and Apple's own wording leaves out the blood oxygen reading the Series models include. Hypertension notifications are absent as well.
Temperature sensing is present, which is the clearest gain over the SE 2. Sleep score, sleep apnea notifications, Fall Detection, Crash Detection and Emergency SOS are all on board. Apple has reportedly explored a screenless Apple Watch and a return to ceramic cases for later models.
Other gaps are smaller but real. There is no depth gauge and no water temperature sensor, so the SE 3 is rated for swimming rather than snorkelling. Precision Finding for iPhone and Precision L1 GPS are absent too.
How it sits against the Series models
The display is the other dividing line. SE 3 peaks at 1000 nits on a standard OLED panel, while the Series 12 and Series 11 reach 2000 nits on wide-angle OLED with LTPO3. SE 3 also uses the S10 chip, the same silicon as the Series 11, where the Series 12 has moved to the S11.
| Model | Amazon price | Apple price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Watch SE 3, GPS, 44mm | $229.00 | $279.00 | The deal here |
| Apple Watch SE 3, GPS, 40mm | $199.00 | $249.00 | Same features, smaller 324 by 394 display |
| Apple Watch Series 11, GPS, 46mm | $379.00 | No longer listed | ECG, Blood Oxygen, 2000 nits, 24-hour battery |
| Apple Watch Series 12, GPS, 46mm | $399.99 | $449.00 | S11 chip, Recovery HRV, Audio Intelligence |
The 40mm SE 3 at $199.00 is the same $50.00 saving against Apple's $249.00 for that size. Both are sold and shipped by Amazon. The Series 11 listing shows no list price at all, so its $379.00 is a price rather than a discount, and Amazon flags only two units left.
Stepping up to the current Series costs $170.99 more than this SE at Amazon prices. Apple's own Series 12 pricing starts at $399.00 for the 42mm GPS model and $449.00 for the 46mm. Buyers weighing the ecosystem against rivals can also look at the leaked Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 lineup.
Price and availability
The $229.00 held across three separate checks of the listing, with Amazon.com in the buy box every time. Prices quoted here are as of October 5, 2026.
Amazon does not publish an end date for the price, a deal window, or how many units sit behind it. The listing bullets also skip the brightness figure, the water rating and the chip generation, and they never mention the missing ECG, blood oxygen and hypertension features. AppleCare+ is a separate variation here, which matters given Apple's work on leasing hardware without AppleCare, while buyers adding earbuds can see how the current AirPods models compare. Retail prices can change without notice.
