Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 11 family at its next Made by Google event in August 2026, but early leaks have already raised questions about whether the new phones will offer enough value.
The upcoming range is expected to include the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Improvements could include the new Tensor G6 processor, a more reliable modem, better battery efficiency, and 256GB of storage as the starting capacity.
Those upgrades may sound useful, especially for people coming from an older Android phone. However, recent information also points to three possible weaknesses. The Pixel 11 could use an older graphics design, cost more than the Pixel 10, and arrive with only minor visual changes.
None of these details have been confirmed by Google. Specifications and prices could change before the official announcement.
The Tensor G6 may use an older graphics processor
The Tensor G6 is expected to be one of the first smartphone processors produced using a 2nm manufacturing process. A smaller process can improve efficiency, reduce power use, and create more room for artificial intelligence features.
However, the processor is reportedly being paired with the PowerVR CXT 48 1536 graphics unit. This graphics design first appeared in 2021, which would make it around five years old by the time the Pixel 11 launches.
