The 256GB Google Pixel 11 Pro XL in Obsidian is $1,299.00 at Amazon, which is to the dollar what Google charges for the same phone on its own store. It is also the price Google set at launch in August, so this is a price match rather than a discount.

The configuration is the entry point to the larger Pro: a 6.8-inch Super Actua OLED panel, a Tensor G6 chip, 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Amazon publishes no list price and no struck-through figure beside it, so there is no saving to verify.
Amazon and Google both land on $1,299
Google's own configurator prices the unlocked 256GB Pro XL in Obsidian at $1,299. The Amazon listing is sold and shipped by Amazon.com, shows the same figure and reads In Stock.
Google announced the phone on August 12 with a $1,299 pre-order price for the Pro XL, and put it on sale on August 20. Two months later the number has not moved at either seller.
Digital Citizen has no earlier price on file for this listing, so there is no previous figure to measure today's against. That also rules out calling this a drop.
The only money Google is currently taking off is a trade-in credit. Its product page offers up to $650 back on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, running from October 1 to October 29, 2026.
Google's terms say that value varies by model, condition, year and configuration, and is subject to change upon inspection. A credit for an old handset is not the same thing as a lower price, and a separate $75 offer applies only to buyers who finance through Verizon.

The 256GB version is the one that gets less memory
Google's spec page pairs 256GB of storage with 12GB of RAM. The 512GB and 1TB versions of the same phone get 16GB of RAM and Zoned UFS storage instead.
Google asks $1,419 for the 512GB Pro XL and $1,649 for the 1TB. The $120 step up therefore buys faster storage and 4GB more memory, which the Amazon listing does not spell out.
The smaller Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 for the same 256GB tier. The $200 gap between the two buys a 6.8-inch panel instead of a 6.3-inch one, and 5,115 mAh of battery instead of 4,850 mAh.
That is a narrower spread than the one on display in other recent flagship pricing, such as the refurbished iPhone 16 Pro at $629.
Seven years of updates, and no charger in the box
Google commits to 7 years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates on the Pro XL. Its support page ties that clock to the date the phone first went on sale on the Google Store in the US, which was August 20, 2026.
That puts the final promised update in 2033. On a phone at this price, the support window is the specification that ages best.
What is in the box is shorter: the phone and a one-metre USB-C cable. A footnote on Google's product page states that the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL do not come with a 45W USB-C Power Charger.
That matters because the headline charging figure depends on one. Google rates the Pro XL at up to 75% in about 30 minutes using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, and sells its own for $29.99.
Wireless charging is Pixelsnap, certified to Qi2.2, at up to 25W. Google quotes the battery as typical 5,115 mAh and claims more than 30 hours of life, measured under its own usage conditions.
What the listing leaves out
Google's spec sheet lists dual eSIM and no physical SIM slot, which is worth knowing before an unlocked phone goes to a carrier that still wants a card. The same sheet gives the rear cameras as a 50MP wide, a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP telephoto at 5x optical, with Pro Zoom reaching 120x.
Amazon's page carries Google's marketing copy about that zoom but no sensor sizes, so the 1/1.3-inch main sensor and the f/1.68 aperture come from Google's own page rather than the listing. Google also quotes 3,600 nits of peak brightness, measured at a 5% on-pixel ratio.
Neither Amazon nor Google publishes an end date for the $1,299 price, and Amazon shows no list price against which a future cut could be measured. The trade-in offer does carry a date, October 29, and prices at both stores can change at any time.
