Troubleshooting
- Ruler option missing? Switch to Print Layout view and ensure you’re not in Read Mode.
- Vertical ruler doesn’t appear (Windows)? Re‑check the option under File → Options → Advanced → Display.
- Add/adjust tabs but nothing happens? Make sure the cursor is in the target paragraph; tab stops are paragraph‑specific.
Summary (ordered steps)
- View → Ruler to show/hide.
- Enable Vertical ruler in settings (desktop only).
- Use Print Layout view for the ruler to appear.
