Samsung's Galaxy A57 5G is listed at $449.99 on Amazon at the time of writing, against a $549.99 list price. The 18% badge on that listing measures the cut from the launch price, not from what Samsung charges now.
Samsung's own store sells the same 128GB unlocked model for $474.99. Buying through Amazon instead of direct saves $25, not $100.
The deal covers the Awesome Gray, 128GB US version, model SM-A576, with 8GB of RAM. Samsung's US buy page offers only 8GB with 128GB or 8GB with 256GB, so this is the entry configuration.
That matters because the A57 is the top of Samsung's current A-series. Samsung commits to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, plus six years of security updates, from the first global launch.
Where the $100 and the $25 come from
The $549.99 figure is genuine. Samsung's March 25, 2026 announcement put the Galaxy A57 5G at $549.99, with US sales starting April 9, 2026.
Samsung has since cut it. The Samsung buy page shows $474.99 against a $549.99 comparison value for all three 128GB color SKUs, a standing discount of about 13.6%.
Amazon's $449.99 is $25.00 below that, or 5.3%. The $100 saving exists only against a price Samsung stopped charging some time ago.
The Amazon data captured for this deal does not state who sells or ships the phone. Whether this is Amazon inventory or third-party stock is not published.
Galaxy A57 5G specifications
Samsung's Exynos 1680 chip page describes an enhanced 4nm EUV part with an octa-core, tri-cluster Arm CPU. Samsung's India spec table for the same SM-A576 hardware gives clocks of 2.9GHz, 2.6GHz and 1.9GHz.
The GPU is the Xclipse 550, based on AMD RDNA 3, which Samsung rates at a 16% gain over the previous generation. The NPU is rated at up to 19.6 TOPS.
Samsung also claims CPU and GPU performance up to 15% better than the previous model.

Two numbers worth correcting
The A57 records 4K video at 30fps. Samsung's own spec table lists UHD 4K at 30fps for recording, and the 60fps figure belongs to a separate playback field.
The panel resolution is 1080 x 2340. That is the figure Samsung's spec table publishes, so a transposed 2400 x 1080 number is not Samsung's own wording.
On durability, Samsung rates IP68 for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes in lab conditions. Samsung adds that the resistance is not permanent and can diminish through normal wear.
Charging is 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0, which Samsung says reaches up to 60% in around 30 minutes. The A-series has been a steady mid-range line for years, as Digital Citizen's Galaxy A55 review and Galaxy A35 review show.
How it compares with the A37 below and the S25 FE above
The Galaxy A37 5G starts at $449.99, exactly what Amazon now charges for the discounted A57.
The A57 answers with a 12MP ultra-wide against the A37's 8MP, a Super AMOLED Plus panel rather than Super AMOLED, and 8GB of RAM in its base model against 6GB. Charging, battery and IP68 rating match.
Above it, the Galaxy S25 FE starts at $649.99 and adds an 8MP 3x optical zoom telephoto camera the A57 does not have. It also uses the flagship Exynos 2400.

Samsung's US catalog shows nothing priced between the two. Digital Citizen's look at the Galaxy A27 5G covers the cheaper end of the same family.
What the listing leaves out
Samsung publishes no brightness figure in nits for this panel on its US product pages, its India spec table or its US support comparison page. Only the Vision Booster name appears.
Amazon gives no end date for the discount, and the captured data does not name the seller. The gap between a stale list price and a real street price also turned up in a recent Samsung 9100 PRO SSD deal.
