Apple has expanded its smart home lineup with several new products, including the HomeView smart display, a refreshed Apple TV 4K, the HomePod mini 2 and a new family of connected home accessories.
The products were introduced as part of Apple's broader push to bring Apple Intelligence, Siri and Matter based smart home controls deeper into the living room.
HomeView is positioned as the centerpiece of the new ecosystem, combining smart home management, communication and personal information in a single device.
HomeView Acts as a Central Smart Home Hub
HomeView features a 7 inch Liquid Retina display connected to an acoustic base through an adjustable stainless steel neck.
The display can reach up to 500 nits of brightness while also dimming to as little as 0.3 nits.
Its speaker base includes dual drivers, a down firing woofer and passive radiators.
Facial recognition allows HomeView to identify different members of a household and present personalized information such as calendars, messages and reminders.

Apple Intelligence and Siri are central to the experience.
HomeView is designed to handle natural multi turn conversations, control home automations and access personal context from linked iPhones and iPads.
Apple is also offering a wall mounted version at the same $300 price.
That model was created in partnership with Schneider Home and is intended to provide a more permanent installation option.
Apple TV 4K Gets A19 and AV1 Support
Apple has also refreshed the Apple TV 4K with a new A19 processor.
The updated hardware includes AV1 decoding, which should improve compatibility with modern streaming formats while helping the system handle 4K video more efficiently.

The faster processor is also expected to improve general interface performance, HDR playback and wireless connectivity.
The new Apple TV 4K doubles as an important part of Apple's smart home architecture by acting as a Matter and Thread hub.
That allows it to coordinate connected devices around the home while working with products such as HomePod mini 2.
HomePod mini 2 Adds Smarter Audio Features
The HomePod mini 2 keeps a compact design but introduces updated internal hardware built around the Apple S10 chip.
Apple says the new computational audio system analyzes music in real time to optimize dynamic range, loudness and acoustic performance.
The speaker also includes sensors capable of monitoring room temperature and humidity.
Those measurements can be used to trigger compatible heating, ventilation and air conditioning automations.
One of the more notable additions is support for a four speaker surround sound setup when HomePod mini 2 units are paired with the new Apple TV 4K.
The system can recognize where each speaker is positioned in the room and automatically adjust timing and output levels.
Apple Home Collection Expands Into Accessories
Apple is also moving further into smart home hardware with the Apple Home Collection.
The initial accessories are being made in collaboration with LG and include products such as smart door locks, thermostats and video doorbells.
Thread and Matter support is a major part of the lineup, allowing accessories to connect through Apple's Home app and work with the wider HomeView and Siri ecosystem.
This gives Apple a more direct role in smart home hardware rather than relying entirely on accessories from third party manufacturers.
Preorders Are Open Ahead of November Release
Preorders for HomeView, the new Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini 2 and Apple Home Collection accessories are open immediately.
Retail availability and shipping are scheduled to begin on November 13.
HomeView appears to be the most important addition because it gives Apple a dedicated visual smart home hub, while the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 provide the networking and audio foundation around it.
Together, the new products show Apple building a more tightly connected home ecosystem around Siri, Apple Intelligence, Matter and Thread rather than treating each smart home device as a separate product.
