Werewolf: The Apocalypse gets a new top down action game from the makers of Session
Werewolf: The Apocalypse is getting another video game adaptation, and this time it is coming from Crea-ture Studios, the team best known for the skateboarding simulator Session.
The new game is called Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Rageborn. It was revealed during Nacon Connect 2026 and is planned for release sometime in 2027.
Rageborn is a top down action adventure set in the World of Darkness universe. The main hook is shape shifting. You will be able to switch between three forms: human, wolf, and werewolf. Each form is expected to help with different parts of exploration, combat, and progression.
Crea-ture president and creative director Louis Lamarche described the game as having a Metroidvania style structure. The idea is that your different forms are not just visual changes. They are part of how you move through the world, solve situations, and unlock access to new areas.

That could help Rageborn stand apart from the last major Werewolf: The Apocalypse game, Earthblood, which launched in 2021. Earthblood had some fun moments, but it was criticized for feeling shallow and too familiar. Rageborn will need stronger systems and a clearer identity if it wants to avoid the same problem.
The top down view also puts it in a crowded space. Many players now compare action games from that angle to titles such as Hades and Hades 2, so Rageborn will need more than werewolf combat to stand out.
Here is what has been announced so far:
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Game | Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Rageborn |
| Developer | Crea-ture Studios |
| Publisher | Nacon |
| Release window | 2027 |
| Genre | Top down action adventure |
| Structure | Metroidvania inspired |
| Setting | World of Darkness |
| Main mechanic | Switching between human, wolf, and werewolf forms |
The reveal comes during a difficult period for Nacon, as some of its studios are facing financial trouble. That adds uncertainty around several announced projects, including ones shown during Nacon Connect.
Still, Rageborn has an interesting base. A werewolf game built around form switching and exploration could work well if each form has a meaningful role. The challenge for Crea-ture is making the game feel sharp, deep, and distinct enough to do justice to the setting.
