Total War: WARHAMMER III will receive its largest DLC to date on September 24, with Lords of the End Times adding four new Legendary Lords, new units and major changes to the Immortal Empires campaign.
For the first time, you will not need to own a Total War: WARHAMMER base game to access Immortal Empires through this content. Buying Lords of the End Times, either as a bundle or through one of its individual Lord packs, will grant access to the campaign.
That makes the expansion a new entry point for players who have not previously bought into the trilogy.
Lords of the End Times adds four Legendary Lords
| Legendary Lord | Faction theme | Individual price |
|---|---|---|
| Nagash | Undead | $8.99 |
| The Glottkin | Nurgle | $8.99 |
| Boris Todbringer | Empire | $8.99 |
| Thanquol | Skaven | $8.99 |
| Bundle | All four Lords | $30.56 |
Buying all four packs separately would cost $35.96, while the bundle includes an automatic 15% discount and is priced at $30.56.
Each Legendary Lord is designed around a different strategic play style.
Nagash focuses on the Undead and his pursuit of godhood. Boris Todbringer represents Middenland and the cult of Ulric. The Glottkin expands Nurgle’s presence across the campaign, while Thanquol brings a more scheme driven approach centered around Skaven politics and planning.
New units expand the battlefield
The expansion also adds several major units tied to the new factions.
The Khemric Titan is a huge magically animated construct, while Verminlords bring powerful daemonic units associated with the Great Horned Rat.
Nurgle gains Putrid Blight Kings, and the Empire receives the Celestial Hurricanum, a magical war altar powered by the Winds of Magic.
These units are designed to give each new Lord a more distinctive battlefield identity alongside their campaign mechanics.
Free update adds Neferata and major reworks
Lords of the End Times will launch alongside one of the largest free updates released for Total War: WARHAMMER III.
The update introduces Neferata as a new Legendary Lord and includes a broader rework of the Vampire Counts.
Archaon the Everchosen will also receive changes, while new End Game Scenarios are being added to Immortal Empires.
Creative Assembly is also refreshing Victory Conditions for legacy Legendary Lords, which should give older campaigns clearer or more relevant objectives.
Immortal Empires becomes easier to access
The biggest structural change is the removal of the previous ownership requirement for players entering Immortal Empires through this DLC.

Previously, access to the full campaign was closely tied to ownership of Total War: WARHAMMER III and earlier trilogy content.
With Lords of the End Times, buying any of the included Lord packs will provide access to Immortal Empires without requiring ownership of another Total War: WARHAMMER game.
That lowers the cost of entry considerably for new players while still allowing existing players to buy only the factions they want.
Lords of the End Times launches on September 24 and represents the largest DLC release in the series so far, combining four paid Legendary Lords with a major free update and a more accessible path into Immortal Empires.
