Samsung’s new 32 inch 4K OLED panel pushes gaming monitors to 360Hz

Samsung Display has revealed a new 32 inch 4K QD OLED panel that could become one of the most advanced gaming monitor screens on the market. The panel was shown at Computex 2026 and is being described as the world’s first 32 inch 4K OLED panel with a 360Hz refresh rate.

That is a major step for high end PC gaming monitors. Until now, many 32 inch 4K OLED displays have topped out at 240Hz, while faster refresh rates usually required a lower resolution. Samsung’s new panel keeps the full 4K resolution while pushing speed much higher, which makes it appealing for players who want sharp image quality and extremely smooth motion in the same display.

The panel can also switch down to 1080p and reach up to 680Hz. That mode will likely be aimed at competitive players who care more about speed than resolution. For esports titles, a lower resolution with an extremely high refresh rate can make sense, especially for people playing on powerful gaming PCs that can push very high frame rates.

Samsung is targeting both image quality and competitive speed with one OLED panel

The new QD OLED panel also comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. That should help it deliver deep blacks, strong contrast, and better HDR performance than many standard LCD gaming monitors. OLED already has an advantage here because each pixel can turn off individually, creating true black levels instead of relying on backlight zones.

Samsung is also using a V stripe pixel structure, which is meant to improve text clarity compared with some older OLED layouts. That matters because many people use gaming monitors for more than games. A clearer pixel structure can make daily desktop use, browsing, writing, and productivity work more comfortable.

This panel is unlikely to be cheap. Premium OLED gaming monitors already command high prices, and a 32 inch 4K 360Hz QD OLED screen will almost certainly sit above the $1,000 mark when finished monitors arrive.

Samsung is expected to use the panel in its own monitors, but it will not be limited to Samsung branded displays. The company is reportedly working with more than ten other monitor makers, which means several brands could release models using the same panel in late 2026 or early 2027.

For PC gamers, the appeal is obvious. A monitor like this can handle cinematic single player games at 4K with OLED contrast, while also giving competitive players a faster mode for shooters, racing games, and esports titles. The challenge is that very few PCs will be able to fully use 4K at 360Hz in demanding games. Even high end graphics cards will struggle to reach those numbers outside lighter competitive titles.

Still, this kind of panel shows where gaming displays are heading. OLED monitors are no longer only about better contrast and richer colors. They are now pushing into extreme refresh rates while keeping high resolution intact.

Samsung’s 32 inch 4K 360Hz QD OLED panel will not be for everyone, especially if prices land far above mainstream monitors. But for players building a top tier gaming PC, it could become one of the most exciting display upgrades coming in the next year.
