OneXPlayer has revealed the OneXPlayer 3, a new handheld gaming PC powered by Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme chip. The device joins the growing wave of Intel based handhelds arriving around Computex 2026, as manufacturers look for an alternative to AMD’s long running dominance in portable PC gaming.
The Arc G3 Extreme is the main reason this handheld stands out. Intel’s new chip lineup is built specifically for gaming handhelds and offers up to 14 CPU cores and 12 Xe3 GPU cores. That gives companies like OneXPlayer a stronger Intel option for modern games, especially now that handheld makers are trying to deliver console like performance in smaller devices.
The OneXPlayer 3 also has a large 8.8 inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports VRR and HDR, which should help games look smoother and more vivid. A screen this size puts it above many traditional handhelds, making it more attractive for players who want a larger viewing area without moving to a laptop.
OneXPlayer is aiming beyond a normal handheld
The design is described as a 3 in 1 setup. That means the OneXPlayer 3 can work as a regular gaming handheld, a small laptop style device, or a dedicated display. This flexibility could help it stand apart from more traditional handheld PCs, especially for people who want one compact device for both gaming and light productivity.

The detachable control system is another important detail. OneXPlayer is using controllers that can separate from the main unit, along with a capacitive touchpad for mouse level control. The triggers also support two stages, letting players switch between micro and linear modes depending on the type of game.
Battery life will be a major question, but the hardware looks promising on paper. The device includes an 85Wh battery, which is large for a handheld gaming PC. That capacity should help support the larger OLED screen and Intel’s powerful chip, though real world battery life will depend on performance modes, game settings, resolution, and how well Intel’s new silicon handles efficiency.

OneXPlayer is also suggesting Arc B390 level gaming performance, with the goal of reaching 60 FPS or higher in modern games. That would make the handheld competitive with other new Intel Arc G3 Extreme devices from Acer and MSI, although real benchmarks will matter more than early claims.
The biggest missing piece is price. OneXPlayer has launched the device on Indiegogo, with the campaign set to go live in June, but pricing has not been shared yet. That matters because the handheld PC market is getting more expensive fast. If the OneXPlayer 3 lands too high, buyers may compare it directly with gaming laptops instead of other handhelds.
Still, the OneXPlayer 3 is one of the more ambitious handhelds announced so far. It combines Intel’s newest gaming handheld chip, a large OLED screen, VRR, HDR, detachable controls, a huge battery, and a flexible 3 in 1 design. If the price is reasonable and the real performance matches the promise, it could become one of the most interesting premium handheld gaming PCs of 2026.
