Nacon Connect 2026 goes ahead as studio closures raise questions about publisher’s future

Nacon held its Nacon Connect 2026 showcase after delaying the event from March, but the presentation arrived under difficult circumstances.

The publisher postponed the original show after filing for insolvency. Since then, concerns around Nacon have grown as several of its studios have also filed for insolvency. Spiders, the studio behind Greedfall, has already shut down, while Cyanide and Kylotonn remain under pressure.

Even with that uncertainty, Nacon used the showcase to present new games, updates, ports, hardware, and release plans. The company tried to show that it still has a future pipeline, though the financial situation around its studios made the event feel less straightforward than a normal game presentation.

Several new games were shown during the event. Cyanide revealed Dracula: The Disciple, a first person gothic puzzle game planned for 2027. Crea-ture Studios announced Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Rageborn, a top down action adventure also planned for 2027. Daedalic Entertainment showed Curse of the Crimson Stag, which is the renamed version of The Fading of Nicole Wilson.

Nacon also shared updates for previously announced games. Hell is Us is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026. Ravenswatch is also getting a Switch 2 version in fall 2026, along with a Song of Thieves update. Session: Skate Sim received its Throwdown update during the show.

Greedfall: The Dying World also received new DLC called Peren’s Black Mass, but that update carries a heavier tone because Spiders has already been shut down. It is expected to be the game’s final update.

Here is a quick look at the main announcements:

The showcase had plenty of content, but Nacon’s larger situation remains the real story. The company is trying to present strength while some of the teams behind these games face uncertain futures.

That is especially true for Cyanide and Kylotonn. Both studios have projects in the pipeline, but their insolvency filings make it unclear whether those games will reach release as planned.

Nacon Connect 2026 showed that the publisher still has a broad lineup. The harder question is whether it can keep those projects moving without more studio closures. For players, the event offered several interesting reveals. For the developers behind them, the next few months may matter just as much as the games themselves.
