Microsoft is getting ready for the release of Forza Horizon 6 with more than just the game itself. The company has announced a new limited edition Xbox controller and wireless headset inspired by the next chapter in its popular racing series.
Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch in less than a month, and Microsoft is using the moment to bring out accessories that match the game’s style. The new controller and headset come with bright colors, racing-inspired details, and design touches linked to the game’s Japan setting.
The new Forza Horizon 6 controller brings transparent styling and road-map details to Xbox players
The Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller has a transparent cyan top shell, allowing players to see some of the parts inside. This design is similar in idea to the Forza Horizon 5 special edition controller from 2021, but the new version has its own look.
Microsoft has added pink, silver, and bright green accents across the controller. One of the most interesting design details is a section of the Forza Horizon 6 map printed on the controller. The road shown is based on a Touge route, which refers to narrow mountain roads in Japan. These roads are strongly connected to drifting culture, so the design fits well with the theme of the game.
The back of the controller also has two-tone rubberized diamond grips. These are meant to give players a better and more comfortable hold during long racing sessions.
In terms of features, the controller works like other modern Xbox Wireless Controllers. It supports Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C connections. It also includes a Share button, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and support for two AA batteries. Microsoft says the batteries can last up to 40 hours, depending on usage.
Microsoft is also working with 8BitDo on a matching charging dock. The dock comes with a rechargeable 1,100 mAh battery pack and a special battery door that uses pogo pins for charging. A full charge is expected to take around three hours.
The limited edition headset follows the same Forza Horizon 6 theme. It has custom design details on the outside and inside. Microsoft has also added special sound effects for actions such as powering the headset on or off, pairing it, muting the microphone, and unmuting it.
The headset supports spatial sound and can connect to Xbox consoles and PCs through Bluetooth LE.
The Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition controller, headset, and charging dock are now available for preorder. The controller costs $89.99, the headset is priced at $134.99, and the charging dock costs $34.99. All three products are scheduled to launch on May 19, 2026, the same day Forza Horizon 6 arrives.
