Jonsbo’s tiny DS339 screen adds a low cost display for PC case monitoring

Jonsbo has launched the DS339, a small 3.39 inch secondary display made for desktop PC setups. The screen is designed to show system information, images, or custom themes, and it can be placed on a desk or mounted inside a PC case. The more unusual part is that Jonsbo shows it sitting near a graphics card, making it a cheap way to add a visual display to a custom build.

Small PC screens have become more common in enthusiast builds. Some people use them to show CPU temperature, GPU load, fan speed, clock speeds, wallpapers, or animated themes. Bigger versions can cost far more, but Jonsbo’s DS339 is being listed in Asia for a very low price, which may make it easier for more builders to try this kind of setup.

The DS339 can sit on a desk or inside a case near the GPU

The DS339 uses a 3.39 inch IPS panel with a 376 x 960 resolution. That tall and narrow shape makes it suitable for showing vertical widgets, hardware stats, or decorative graphics. Brightness is listed at 300 cd/m², which should be enough for a small internal case display, especially inside a build with a glass side panel.

Jonsbo lists the screen body at 90 x 35 x 11 mm. It uses an ABS plastic housing and connects through USB. Power use is also very low, with a 5V/300mA rating and a maximum draw of around 1.5W. Windows 10 or newer is supported.

The graphics card placement is what makes the DS339 stand out. Many PC builders already decorate GPU backplates with figures, support brackets, lighting strips, or small displays. Jonsbo’s product gallery shows the DS339 mounted above a GPU, while Hong Kong listings mention graphics card backplate or desktop placement.

That makes the display more of a customization accessory than a performance part. It will not improve cooling or gaming performance, but it can make a PC build feel more personal. For people who like clean hardware monitoring inside the case, it could also remove the need to keep a separate monitoring window open on the main screen.

Pricing is the other important detail. Expreview reports China pricing at ¥99, which is around $14.60. Hong Kong listings show HK$139, or about $17.75. There is no confirmed US or European price yet, but based on Asian pricing, a likely retail range could be around $19.99 to $24.99 after distribution and retailer costs.

At that price, the DS339 could become an easy add on for PC builders who want a small display without spending much. The main question is software quality. Cheap monitoring screens often depend heavily on bundled apps, and the experience can vary. If Jonsbo’s software is simple and stable, the DS339 could be a neat budget accessory for case modders.

For now, the DS339 is mainly listed in Asian markets. But if it reaches more regions at a similar price, it could appeal to anyone building a showcase PC who wants a compact screen for stats, themes, or extra visual flair near the graphics card.
