HP's HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop is available for $1,199 at Walmart as part of a Halloween promotion, bringing a $700 discount to a configuration featuring NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card.
The laptop combines an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX processor with 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 165Hz display, making it an option for players looking for a gaming laptop without spending considerably more on premium hardware.
The original listed price is $1,899, meaning the promotional offer represents a discount of approximately 37%.
Alongside the laptop deal, Best Buy is offering a $500 discount on a Skytech Gaming KING95 desktop equipped with an RTX 5060 Ti graphics card.
Both offers were advertised on October 31, 2026, although availability and promotional pricing may change.
HP HyperX Omen 15 Features Ryzen 7 8745HX and RTX 5060
The discounted HyperX Omen laptop uses AMD's Ryzen 7 8745HX, an eight core, 16 thread processor based on the Zen 4 architecture.
The processor operates at a base frequency of 3.6GHz and can boost up to 5.1GHz. It also includes 40MB of combined L2 and L3 cache.
For graphics, HP pairs the processor with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, which uses the Blackwell architecture.
The GPU supports NVIDIA's latest RTX technologies, including DLSS and Multi Frame Generation, which can improve perceived smoothness in compatible games.
The laptop also includes a 15.3 inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
A 1TB SSD provides storage for Windows, applications, and installed games, while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 handle wireless connectivity.
Skytech KING95 RTX 5060 Ti Desktop Also Gets a $500 Discount
Best Buy is offering the Skytech Gaming KING95 desktop for $1,499.99, reduced from $1,999.99.
The desktop features AMD's Ryzen 7 9700X processor, an eight core, 16 thread Zen 5 chip paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card.
It also includes 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 1TB SSD, an all in one liquid CPU cooler, and a 750W power supply.
The system uses a case with glass front and side panels, allowing the internal components to remain visible.
Unlike the HP laptop, the Skytech desktop is designed for players who prefer a stationary gaming setup with greater flexibility for future hardware upgrades.
The $500 discount was advertised as a one day promotion for October 31.

The HP HyperX Omen offers a relatively affordable entry into NVIDIA's RTX 50 series laptop lineup, especially for players interested in its high refresh rate display and modern connectivity options.
However, buyers should consider GPU power limits, cooling performance, and upgrade options before choosing a gaming laptop based solely on its graphics card.
For desktop buyers, the Skytech configurations offer alternatives with more powerful graphics options and greater potential for component upgrades.
The promotional prices were reported for October 31, 2026, and may not remain available after the Halloween sales period.
