Locked out of My Verizon? Most sign-in failures are just a forgotten password or a temporary lock after too many tries. Use the steps below to reset your password from the app or a browser. If the app won’t open or crashes during the flow, try these fixes in our guide My Verizon app not working.
iPhone & iPad
- Open My Verizon and tap Sign in.
- Tap Forgot password?.
- Enter your User ID or mobile number, then choose how to get the verification code (Text or Email).
- Enter the code you receive, then create a new password and tap Save.
Pro tip: If you don’t have access to your phone number, pick Email for verification or use your account’s recovery options.
Android
- Open My Verizon and tap Sign in.
- Tap Forgot password?.
- Provide your User ID or mobile number and choose Text or Email to get a code.
- Enter the code, set a new password, and confirm.
Note: Too many failed attempts can temporarily lock your account. Wait a bit and retry the reset flow if that happens.
Web (verizon.com → My Verizon)
- Go to Sign in and click Forgot your info? or Forgot password?.
- Enter your User ID or mobile number and select Text or Email to receive a verification code.

Before you start: Make sure you can access the phone number or email on file. Turn off VPNs and browser extensions if the verification page doesn’t load.
After you’re back in
- Update saved passwords in your browser or password manager.
- Review Security & privacy in My Verizon to confirm your recovery email/number are current.
- Consider enabling extra verification prompts to prevent lockouts.
