Hell Let Loose is moving from World War II into Vietnam next month.
Team17 and Expression Games have confirmed that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will launch on June 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement arrived with a new gameplay trailer showing large scale battles across jungle, rivers, land routes, and the air.
The game keeps the core idea that made Hell Let Loose stand out: huge 50v50 tactical battles where squad coordination matters more than lone wolf action.
This time, the setting changes the rhythm. Vietnam’s dense jungle, river routes, helicopters, boats, and mixed terrain should make battles feel very different from the European battlefields of the first game.

The new trailer focuses on all terrain warfare. Players can expect firefights in thick tropical environments, naval movement, helicopters overhead, and large coordinated pushes across the map.

That should fit Hell Let Loose well. The series works best when players are communicating, following squad leaders, managing supply lines, and pushing objectives together. Vietnam’s terrain could make those systems even more important because visibility, movement, and positioning may be harder than before.
Team17 and Expression Games are also holding an open beta before launch. It will run from May 29 to June 1, but only on Steam. Console players will have to wait for the full release.
Pre orders are already available. The standard edition costs $39.99, €39.99, or £34.99. The deluxe edition costs $59.99, €59.99, or £54.99.

One important difference from the original Hell Let Loose is the launch model. The first game entered early access in 2019 and spent years growing before and after its 1.0 release. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is going straight to a full 1.0 launch instead of starting in early access.
That suggests Expression Games wants this release to feel more complete from day one.
Of course, large scale tactical shooters can be difficult to launch cleanly. Server stability, balance, vehicle handling, map flow, and communication tools will matter a lot. The Steam beta should help the developers test some of that before release.
Still, the premise is strong. Hell Let Loose already has a loyal audience, and Vietnam gives the series a fresh identity without abandoning its squad based foundation.
If the jungle maps, helicopters, river combat, and 50v50 structure come together well, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam could become one of the more interesting tactical shooters of the summer.
