Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will continue the series' tradition of offering a physical map, but it will no longer come included with the game.
Instead, players will have to purchase the printed map separately for $0.99 or receive it as a complimentary item when buying another product from the Rockstar Store.
The change comes as Rockstar moves away from conventional physical game releases. GTA 6 will initially be distributed digitally, while its boxed edition will contain a download code rather than a game disc.
Players who prefer physical collectibles will still have access to the map, although obtaining one will require an additional purchase.
GTA 6's Leonida Map Will Be Available Digitally for Free
Rockstar has announced that an official printable map of Leonida and the game's cover artwork will become available as free digital downloads on November 19, 2026.
A physical version will follow shortly after launch through the Rockstar Store.

The printed edition will feature a double sided design, continuing a tradition established by earlier Grand Theft Auto releases.
Previous games, including GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, included folded maps and promotional artwork inside their boxes.
GTA 4 and GTA 5 also provided physical maps featuring different views of their fictional locations.
For GTA 6, however, Rockstar is separating the collectible from the game purchase itself.
The company has confirmed that the physical poster will cost $0.99 when purchased individually. Alternatively, customers can receive it free with another Rockstar Store purchase.
GTA 6's Boxed Edition Will Not Include a Game Disc
The decision reflects Rockstar's changing approach to physical distribution.
GTA 6's code in box edition will become available on November 12, ahead of the game's November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Rockstar has not indicated that the package will include a printed map.
The company has also warned that these boxed editions will remain available only while supplies last.
That means collectors cannot assume the packaged version will remain available indefinitely.
Although the printable digital map provides a free alternative, it does not fully replace the physical collectible traditionally supplied with earlier releases.
For longtime Grand Theft Auto players, the change represents another difference between GTA 6 and previous entries, particularly as major publishers increasingly prioritize digital game distribution.
