Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda Edition Restocks Expected This Week as Best Buy and Target Prepare New Sales

Nintendo's special edition Legend of Zelda Switch 2 is expected to receive additional stock across several US retailers this week, following widespread shortages since its October 29, 2026 launch.

The console has already returned briefly at Amazon, Nintendo and Best Buy, but availability remains limited as demand continues to exceed supplies.

Best Buy is preparing a limited restock alongside the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, while Target has previously indicated that additional units could become available on November 5 and 6.

Walmart may also receive fresh inventory, although its reported restock plans remain unconfirmed.

Best Buy and Target Could Restock Zelda Switch 2 on November 5 and 6

Best Buy is planning a midnight launch event for Ocarina of Time Remake, with a limited quantity of Zelda themed Switch 2 consoles expected to be available.

Target previously displayed information suggesting physical store restocks on November 5, followed by online availability on November 6.

However, those dates were subsequently removed from its product listings, leaving the schedule uncertain.

Walmart has also faced complaints about canceled preorders, with speculation suggesting the retailer may have exceeded its initial inventory allocation.

Nintendo has acknowledged stronger demand than expected and promised additional supplies.

The standard retail price for the Zelda Switch 2 special edition is $519.99 in the United States.

UK Retailers Have Also Received Additional Stock

In the United Kingdom, Amazon and EE have already offered several restocks since the console launched.

Amazon briefly listed the special edition for £429.99 on November 2, although available units were quickly purchased.

Argos, Smyths Toys, Very and Currys are among the other retailers being monitored for additional inventory.

The availability situation remains inconsistent, with stock sometimes varying between individual stores and delivery locations.

Nintendo's special edition console features green Zelda themed Joy-Con controllers and a redesigned dock with gold Triforce artwork.

However, Ocarina of Time Remake is sold separately.

The accompanying Pro Controller and carrying case have also experienced limited availability.

With further restocks anticipated throughout November, buyers may have additional opportunities to purchase the console at its regular price rather than paying inflated reseller listings.

Neither Nintendo nor the retailers have confirmed sufficient inventory to meet all outstanding demand.
