Nvidia has announced that Hogwarts Legacy will receive DLSS 5 Neural Rendering support on November 5, 2026, bringing AI powered visual improvements to the game on supported GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards.
The update will focus on improving environmental details, character textures, lighting and reflections while preserving the original appearance of characters.
Nvidia also confirmed that War Thunder and Where Winds Meet will receive DLSS 5 support later this month, expanding the availability of its neural rendering technology.
According to Nvidia, Hogwarts Legacy can achieve up to 300 FPS on the GeForce RTX 5090 when using 6X Multi Frame Generation alongside other supported DLSS features. However, this figure comes from the company's own performance claims.
Hogwarts Legacy Will Receive Improved Lighting and Character Details
DLSS 5 introduces 3D Guided Neural Rendering, which uses AI to enhance the appearance of game environments and objects.
Unlike traditional upscaling techniques, the technology targets additional visual details, including material appearance, lighting and reflections.
For Hogwarts Legacy, Nvidia says the implementation will improve environmental quality while maintaining recognizable character identities.

The company recommends combining Neural Rendering with DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation and Reflex to balance image quality, performance and responsiveness.
DLSS 5 was originally announced in March 2026 and first became available in NBA 2K27.
Its introduction attracted criticism from some players concerned about AI generated changes to game visuals.
The upcoming Hogwarts Legacy update represents another opportunity to evaluate how the technology performs in an established game.
War Thunder and Where Winds Meet Will Also Receive DLSS 5
Nvidia has confirmed additional releases for November.
| Game | DLSS 5 availability | Main improvements |
|---|---|---|
| Hogwarts Legacy | November 5 | Character details, lighting and reflections |
| War Thunder | Mid November | Shadows, highlights and materials |
| Where Winds Meet | November 23 | Environment and character visuals |
War Thunder will receive the technology alongside its Eagle's Shadow update.
Nvidia claims the game can reach up to 400 FPS using 6X Multi Frame Generation, although actual performance will depend on hardware and graphics settings.
Where Winds Meet will receive Neural Rendering on November 23, focusing on improvements to its open world and characters.
Nvidia Continues Expanding DLSS 4.5 Support
Alongside DLSS 5, Nvidia is extending DLSS 4.5 features to additional PC games.
Gravhounds, which recently entered early access, supports Super Resolution, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, DLAA, Reflex and RTX Dynamic Vibrance.
Hunting Simulator 3 also launched with similar capabilities, while Phantom Blade Zero includes the DLSS 4.5 feature suite for its path traced graphics.
These additions show Nvidia's continued effort to expand AI assisted rendering across PC games.
For Hogwarts Legacy players with compatible RTX 50 series hardware, the November 5 update will provide another graphics option, although independent testing will be needed to determine its visual quality and performance impact.
