CHUWI has introduced the GameBook Max, a new 18 inch gaming laptop featuring Intel's 14th generation Core HX processors and NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 mobile graphics card.
The laptop is available in two configurations, with prices starting at $1,799 for the Intel Core i7 model and increasing to $2,099 for the more powerful Core i9 version.
Although CHUWI has selected an older Intel processor architecture, the GameBook Max combines it with modern NVIDIA graphics technology, DDR5 memory and a large display intended for gaming and productivity.
Preorders are now available, with introductory discounts ranging from $50 to $100.
CHUWI GameBook Max Features a 144Hz Display and RTX 5060 GPU
The GameBook Max features an 18 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Its relatively modest resolution should help the RTX 5060 maintain higher frame rates compared with laptops using more demanding display resolutions.
The graphics card includes 8GB of GDDR7 memory and operates with a stated GPU power rating of 115W.
NVIDIA's DLSS technology is also supported, allowing compatible games to improve performance through AI assisted rendering.
For processing, CHUWI offers the Intel Core i7 14650HX and Core i9 14900HX.
The Core i9 configuration provides up to 24 cores, 32 threads and a maximum turbo frequency of 5.8GHz.
These processors should provide sufficient computing power for gaming, content creation and demanding multitasking workloads.
GameBook Max Offers Two Hardware Configurations
CHUWI has introduced two versions with different memory, storage and processor combinations.
| Specification | Base model | Higher model |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Core i7 14650HX | Core i9 14900HX |
| Graphics | RTX 5060 | RTX 5060 |
| RAM | 16GB DDR5 | 32GB DDR5 |
| Storage | 512GB SSD | 1TB SSD |
| Starting price | $1,799 | $2,099 |
Connectivity includes USB Type C, USB Type A, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort and a 3.5mm audio connection.
The laptop also supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5Gb Ethernet for wired networking.
One USB Type C connection supports 10Gbps transfers, DisplayPort output and up to 140W Power Delivery.
With its large display and relatively powerful hardware, the GameBook Max targets gamers who prioritize screen space and desktop replacement capabilities.
However, its pricing places it in a competitive segment where buyers may also find gaming laptops with newer processors or stronger graphics options.
