Beast of Reincarnation has received its second major post launch update, with Patch 1.0.8 adding several changes requested by players.
The update is now available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. It focuses heavily on camera behavior, subtitle readability, navigation, combat fairness, and general balancing.
The developers have also confirmed that more improvements are planned, including NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, AMD FSR Frame Generation, ultrawide monitor support, skippable events and cutscenes, and changes to the healing system.
Patch 1.0.8 expands camera options
One of the biggest areas addressed in the update is the in game camera.
Players can now choose between three camera distance options: Close, Medium, and Far. Additional adjustments have also been made to camera behavior both during combat and while exploring.
Some cinematic camera transitions have been revised as well.
| Patch 1.0.8 change | Details |
|---|---|
| Camera distance | Close, Medium, and Far options added |
| Camera behavior | Further adjustments in and outside combat |
| Cinematic cameras | Selected camera cuts adjusted |
| Subtitle size | New adjustment options added |
| Navigation | More objective markers added during early story sections |
| Combat | Enemy attacks around certain execution animations can now be interrupted |
| Balance | Additional general adjustments included |
The development team says camera improvements are not finished and may continue to appear in future updates if further changes are needed.
That should be useful for players who found the launch camera too restrictive or uncomfortable during fast combat encounters.
Combat animations should now leave players less exposed
Another important change affects several finishing and assassination actions.
Surrounding enemy attacks can now be interrupted while the player is performing Execution, Execution Assist, Assassination, and Assassination Assist animations.
Previously, these actions could leave Emma vulnerable immediately after the animation ended. That could result in unavoidable damage if nearby enemies attacked while the player was still recovering control.

The new behavior should make those actions safer to use during encounters involving several enemies.
The update also adds more objective markers during the earlier parts of the story. This is intended to make navigation easier for players who had trouble identifying where to go next.
Subtitle size controls have also been introduced, improving accessibility for players who found the original text difficult to read.
DLSS and FSR Frame Generation are coming later
Patch 1.0.8 does not include every major improvement currently being developed.
NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation and AMD FSR Frame Generation are both planned for future updates. These technologies are intended to improve perceived frame rates by generating additional frames between traditionally rendered ones.
That could be especially useful for PC players who are currently struggling to reach smoother performance at higher graphical settings or resolutions.
Ultrawide monitor support is also under development, which should improve the experience for players using wider PC displays.
Other planned features include the ability to skip events and cutscenes, along with adjustments to healing.
The developers have not provided exact release dates for these additions.
Post launch support is moving quickly
Beast of Reincarnation launched earlier in August, and the developers have already released two patches while outlining additional changes.
That suggests the studio is treating community feedback as an important part of its early support plan.
The game combines real time action with turn based elements, creating a combat system that differs from more traditional action RPGs. Because of that structure, small issues with camera positioning, recovery timing, and enemy behavior can have a noticeable effect during combat.
Patch 1.0.8 addresses several of those immediate concerns while leaving larger technical upgrades for later.
For PC players, the upcoming DLSS and FSR Frame Generation support may become the most important addition if performance remains a concern.
For everyone else, the new camera settings, improved navigation, subtitle controls, and safer execution animations should make the current version more comfortable to play.
