ASUS has quietly released its ProArt GeForce RTX 5090 OC Edition, giving creators and compact PC builders a slimmer alternative to many oversized RTX 5090 cards.
The card was shown earlier at CES, but it has now appeared on ASUS’ official website. Its design is clearly inspired by NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 Founders Edition, especially the double vented backplate that helps improve airflow through the card.
ASUS’ version is slightly thicker than NVIDIA’s Founders Edition. The Founders Edition uses a 2 slot design, while the ProArt RTX 5090 OC is 2.5 slots thick. Even so, it is still thinner than many custom RTX 5090 models, which often use much larger coolers.
The cooler uses two large Axial tech fans, a vapor chamber, and liquid metal on the GPU chip to improve thermals. ASUS also kept the power connector location and orientation close to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition layout, making this one of the closest custom cards to the FE design.
| Feature | ASUS ProArt RTX 5090 OC |
|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce RTX 5090 |
| Memory | 32GB GDDR7 |
| Thickness | 2.5 slots |
| Cooling | Vapor chamber, dual Axial tech fans |
| Thermal interface | Liquid metal |
| Backplate | Double vented design |
| Extra features | Dual BIOS switch, USB Type C port |
| Default clock | 2482MHz |
| OC mode clock | Up to 2512MHz |
The Dual BIOS switch lets users choose between Performance and Quiet modes. That is useful for creators who want lower noise during editing, rendering, or long work sessions, while still having a higher performance option when needed.

The USB Type C port is another practical addition. It can help with portable displays and other USB C based display setups, which fits the ProArt line’s creator focused identity.
The ProArt RTX 5090 OC also runs at higher clocks than the Founders Edition, with a 2482MHz default frequency and up to 2512MHz in OC mode. Beyond that, the core specs remain in line with other RTX 5090 cards.
ASUS has not announced pricing yet. But with many RTX 5090 cards selling for more than $4,000, this model is unlikely to be cheap.
The ProArt series is still newer than ASUS’ ROG and TUF gaming lines, but it has a clearer purpose. It is aimed at creators and workstation users who want high performance without aggressive gaming styling.
That makes the ProArt RTX 5090 OC one of the more interesting RTX 5090 options. It keeps a clean design, stays relatively slim, uses premium cooling, and adds creator friendly touches while still offering NVIDIA’s flagship GPU performance.
