Xbox has revealed two limited edition wireless controllers inspired by Gears of War: E Day, along with a matching 8BitDo charging dock.
The main controller is priced at $89.99 in the US and £84.99 in the UK, with preorders opening now. A second version will be available through Xbox Design Lab from September 30 and will offer a different visual design with extra customization options.
Gears of War: E Day itself is scheduled to launch on October 6, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S.

Main controller uses cracked asphalt and Crimson Omen design
The standard limited edition controller is built around imagery from Emergence Day.
Its top shell features 3D molded and laser etched cracked asphalt, with red glowing sections intended to resemble an erupting E hole.
The Crimson Omen appears beneath the damaged surface, while the ABXY buttons use a dark finish with a transparent red X button.
Red triggers and a transparent directional pad continue the same theme.
The battery cover includes a dark silver metallic COG tag, and the controller also uses textured grips.
The design is clearly aimed at players who want a more physical interpretation of the series rather than a simple printed graphic.
Design Lab version arrives September 30
A second Gears of War: E Day controller will be offered through Xbox Design Lab.
This model uses exclusive artwork from illustrator Luke Preece.
Its design centers on a skull placed above crossed Lancers, surrounded by additional skulls and battle worn details representing the conflict between the COG and the Locust Horde.
Because it is part of Design Lab, buyers will also be able to customize parts of the controller.
Available upgrades include metallic triggers, metallic directional pads, rubberized side and rear grips, and personalized engraving.
The source does not provide a final base price for the Design Lab version.

The standard limited edition model is priced at $89.99 in the US and £84.99 in the UK.
