Xbox Game Pass app briefly lists Fable and Clockwork Revolution as coming soon

Xbox Game Pass may have accidentally revealed part of Microsoft’s near future lineup before the company was ready. Several highly anticipated games briefly appeared in the “Coming to Game Pass” section of the Xbox Game Pass app, including Fable, Clockwork Revolution, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Witchbrook, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, Armatus, Tropico 7, Nirvana Noir, and Snap & Grab. The listings were later removed, which strongly suggests they were added too early.

The important detail is that these games are still expected for Xbox Game Pass. The removal does not mean they are cancelled or no longer coming. It only means Microsoft likely did not want them shown in that app section yet, especially with the Xbox Games Showcase coming on June 7.

The biggest names are Fable and Clockwork Revolution. Fable has already been a major talking point because Xbox recently moved the game to February 2027, partly to give it more space away from Grand Theft Auto VI and other major 2026 releases. Even with that delay, seeing it appear in the Game Pass app is another reminder that it remains one of Microsoft’s biggest first party releases.

Clockwork Revolution is the more surprising listing. The steampunk RPG from inXile Entertainment still does not have a firm release window, and Microsoft has shown very little of it since its reveal. A “Coming Soon” tag does not always mean a game is close, but its appearance in the app will naturally raise expectations for a new trailer or update during the showcase.

The removed listings may point to Xbox showcase plans

The timing is hard to ignore. Xbox is preparing for its biggest presentation of the year, and Microsoft has already said the June showcase will focus on games rather than Project Helix or broader strategy. If these listings were pushed early by mistake, they may reflect games Microsoft plans to discuss soon.

Still, it is worth being careful with the wording. “Coming Soon” on the Game Pass app does not always mean a release is close. Sometimes it simply means a game is confirmed for the service and already has a store page or internal listing. That is why Clockwork Revolution appearing there should not be treated as proof of a 2026 launch.

The same goes for Fable. The game is now officially planned for February 2027, so its app appearance was not a sign that it had moved back into 2026. It may have been listed because the game already has enough store and Game Pass infrastructure in place.

For Game Pass subscribers, the brief list is still encouraging. It shows that Microsoft has a strong pipeline beyond the smaller June additions already confirmed. The service is not only relying on day one indie games or older catalog releases. It has several major first party and third party titles lined up across RPGs, strategy, narrative adventure, cozy simulation, and experimental indie games.

The bigger question is how many of these games will get proper updates at the Xbox Games Showcase. Fable is almost certain to appear because Microsoft has already promised a major new look. Clockwork Revolution feels like a strong candidate too, especially because players have been waiting for more information.

Even though the listings disappeared, the accident did its job. It reminded players that Game Pass still has some heavy hitters ahead. Microsoft now needs to turn that quiet app leak into clear showcase momentum.
