Xbox Game Pass Adds Blood Dungeon and Aerial Knight’s DropShot on August 25

Xbox Game Pass has added two more games across different subscription tiers on August 25, with Blood Dungeon arriving as a day one release for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members and Aerial Knight’s DropShot joining the Premium tier.

The latest additions come as Microsoft approaches the end of its August 2026 Game Pass schedule. Both games are available on Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, although the subscription tier you need depends on the title.

Blood Dungeon launches day one on Game Pass

Blood Dungeon is the more notable of the two additions because it is launching directly into Xbox Game Pass.

Developed by the team behind Nidhogg, the game is a 2D platforming autoshooter built around fighting large groups of monsters while collecting resources that improve your character. Blood, gold and bones can all be gathered to increase your power as you progress through the dungeon.

The design appears focused on fast movement, repeated combat encounters and character upgrades rather than a slower traditional platforming structure. If you subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you can play it from August 25 across its supported platforms.

Its inclusion also gives Microsoft another day one title during the final stretch of August, even if the remaining release schedule for the month is relatively small.

Aerial Knight’s DropShot joins Game Pass Premium

Aerial Knight’s DropShot is the second addition and is newly available through Xbox Game Pass Premium.

The game is a stylized first person shooter built around a competitive race to secure a parachute and reach the ground before your opponents. Players have limited Finger Gun ammunition and must manage enemy attacks, movement and slipstreams while trying to survive long enough to land first.

That gives the August 25 update two very different experiences. Blood Dungeon focuses on 2D action and progression, while DropShot combines shooting with an unusual airborne race format.

Microsoft has only a small number of Game Pass releases still scheduled before August ends, so these two additions help fill out the final week of the month. Blood Dungeon is likely to receive the most attention because of its day one status, while DropShot gives Premium subscribers another title to try without moving to a higher tier.
