Xbox Series X and Series S players can now try three notable games for free, with new demos available for Monster Hunter Wilds, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, and Endless Legend 2.
The demos arrive ahead of major upcoming releases and updates for all three games. Monster Hunter Wilds offers a substantial prologue covering the opening part of the adventure, while Moonlighter 2 and Endless Legend 2 give players an early look before their full version 1.0 releases in September.

Monster Hunter Wilds demo offers up to three hours of gameplay
Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo covers the beginning of the game and remains playable until you complete the To the Forest main mission.
Depending on how quickly you progress, the demo is expected to last around one to three hours.
That makes it the most substantial of the newly highlighted Xbox demos and gives you enough time to experience the early story, environments, combat, and monster hunting systems before deciding whether to continue with the full game.
The demo arrives ahead of the planned Ascension expansion, which is currently scheduled for 2027.

Moonlighter 2 gets a demo before its September launch
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has also received a new Xbox Store demo.
The sequel combines dungeon exploration with shop management. You collect valuable items while exploring dangerous dimensions, then return to develop your shop, work with weapons and gadgets, and interact with a community of castaways.
The full version 1.0 release is scheduled for September 2, 2026, which is also when Moonlighter 2 will make its Xbox Series X and Series S debut.
It has already been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in September, so the demo gives subscribers an opportunity to try it before the full release arrives.
Endless Legend 2 demo arrives ahead of version 1.0
Endless Legend 2 is the third major demo currently available.
The strategy game is built around an evolving world populated by asymmetric factions, each with its own characteristics and powerful heroes.
Players can develop an empire, use political influence, build armies, and compete while uncovering secrets hidden across the planet.
Its full version 1.0 release is scheduled for September 17, 2026.
The new demo gives players a chance to sample its strategy systems before that release date.
Several other Xbox demos are also available
The Xbox Store has recently added several smaller demos and beta releases alongside these three larger titles.
Recent additions include Golfish, Stick Infinite Kingdom, Gennady, Flamecraft, and the ONE MAP Never Ending Battle Royale beta.
