A Razer Blade 18 owner has reported a serious cooling failure that appears to be linked to the laptop's vapor chamber, with condensation visible near one corner of the cooling assembly.
The problem became obvious after the laptop suddenly lost performance. The owner said the machine had been running normally while gaming, but later struggled to launch the same application. The fans were still spinning, although the air leaving the vents felt cold rather than hot.
After opening the laptop, the owner found moisture around the vapor chamber. That pointed to a possible loss of the internal working fluid used to transfer heat away from the CPU and GPU.

There was reportedly no obvious physical damage to the vapor chamber in the affected Blade 18. That makes accidental crushing or puncturing less likely and gives more weight to the possibility of a seal related failure.
However, this remains based on owner reports rather than a broad technical investigation from Razer, so it should not be treated as confirmation that every Blade 18 or Blade 16 has the same defect.
Repair options may be limited
The affected owner said the laptop was just outside its warranty period, which makes the situation more difficult.
A vapor chamber failure does not necessarily mean the entire motherboard needs to be replaced. In principle, replacing the cooling assembly should restore normal heat transfer if the CPU, GPU and other components remain undamaged.
The problem is parts availability.
Razer does not appear to make replacement vapor chambers widely available through normal retail channels, which can leave owners dependent on official repair services or second hand parts.
That can become expensive on a laptop that already costs several thousand dollars.
For Blade owners who notice sudden performance drops, cold exhaust air during heavy workloads or visible moisture around the cooling assembly, a vapor chamber problem is one possibility worth checking.
The reported case also raises a broader reliability concern because the cooling system is one of the most important parts of a high performance gaming laptop. If the vapor chamber fails, the processor and GPU can quickly throttle even while the fans appear to be working normally.
