Phantom Blade Zero PC Requirements Target RTX 5080 for 4K 60 FPS Path Tracing

Phantom Blade Zero has received its official PC system requirements, and the overall hardware demands are relatively modest until path tracing enters the picture.

S GAME says the action RPG can run at 1080p and 30 FPS on hardware as old as a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5500 XT when upscaling is enabled. For 1440p and 60 FPS, the recommended GPUs move up to an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT.

Full path tracing at 4K and 60 FPS is much more demanding, with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 listed as the recommended graphics card.

The ray tracing requirements are separate.

The requirements suggest that S GAME is keeping the standard rendering modes accessible while reserving the heaviest visual settings for much newer hardware.

Path tracing will be the most demanding PC mode

Hardware ray tracing had already been confirmed for Phantom Blade Zero, but the published requirements now show that the game will also support full path tracing on PC.

Path tracing calculates lighting more comprehensively than conventional ray tracing, which makes it substantially more demanding on the GPU.

That explains the large jump from an RTX 5060 for the standard ray tracing target to an RTX 5080 for 4K path tracing.

It is also important that both targets rely on upscaling, so these figures do not represent native 1080p or native 4K rendering.

DLSS 4.5 and Multi Frame Generation are confirmed

Phantom Blade Zero will support NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation.

Those features should play a major role in reaching the stated performance targets, particularly at 4K with path tracing enabled.

S GAME has not yet confirmed support for AMD FSR or Intel XeSS in the supplied information.

That leaves NVIDIA owners with the clearest feature support at this stage, though additional upscalers could still be announced later.

Standard requirements remain fairly accessible

Outside the path tracing mode, the hardware requirements are comparatively reasonable for a modern Unreal Engine 5 title.

A GTX 1660 and Ryzen 5 3600 class system is enough for the minimum 1080p target, while an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT is listed for 1440p at 60 FPS.

Both tiers require 16GB of RAM and an SSD.

That aligns with earlier comments from the developer, which said Phantom Blade Zero would be optimized for lower end hardware rather than forcing players into a major upgrade.

PS5 Pro enhancements are also planned

Phantom Blade Zero is also coming to PlayStation 5, and S GAME has confirmed that the PS5 Pro will receive enhancements.

The specific improvements have not yet been detailed.

The PC version will remain the more flexible option for players who want to use the full path tracing mode, especially with a high end GPU such as the RTX 5080.

Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29. For most PC players, the standard 1080p and 1440p requirements are relatively manageable, while the RTX 5080 only becomes necessary for the most demanding 4K path tracing target.
