PELADN has listed its YO2 mini PC in China, giving another look at how expensive AMD’s Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 systems can be when paired with large memory configurations. The compact workstation is built around AMD’s Strix Halo platform and is offered with 128GB of LPDDR5X 8000 memory and a 2TB SSD.
The listed price is 20,499 RMB, which is roughly $3,030. That places the YO2 well above normal mini PCs and closer to small workstation territory. The high price is not surprising, because Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 systems are aimed at buyers who want strong CPU performance, a powerful integrated GPU, large unified memory, and local AI capability in a compact chassis.
The Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 uses 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and 32 threads. PELADN lists a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz, along with 16MB of L2 cache and 64MB of L3 cache. The integrated graphics are listed as Radeon 8060S Graphics with 40 compute units and a GPU clock of up to 2.9 GHz.
The chip also delivers up to 126 TOPS of total AI performance, including up to 50 TOPS from the NPU. That makes the YO2 part of the growing group of compact PCs trying to serve creators, developers, AI users, and workstation buyers who do not want a full desktop tower.
The YO2 gives Strix Halo a high power compact design
PELADN lists three configurable power modes for the YO2: 55W, 85W, and 120W. That is important because Strix Halo performance can vary heavily depending on how much power and cooling a system can provide.
The company claims the system can release up to 160W of peak performance. Cooling is handled by dual turbine fans, one system fan, and three heatpipes. That kind of setup suggests PELADN is trying to push the chip harder than smaller, thinner mini PCs.
| Feature | PELADN YO2 |
|---|---|
| Processor | AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 |
| CPU cores | 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads |
| Graphics | Radeon 8060S Graphics |
| GPU compute units | 40 |
| Memory | 128GB LPDDR5X 8000 |
| Storage | 2TB SSD |
| Power modes | 55W, 85W, 120W |
| AI performance | Up to 126 TOPS total |
| NPU performance | Up to 50 TOPS |
| Listed price | 20,499 RMB, around $3,030 |
The 128GB memory configuration is one of the biggest selling points. Since Strix Halo uses powerful integrated graphics and shared system memory, a large memory pool can matter for AI workloads, creative software, and GPU heavy tasks that would normally need a discrete graphics card with its own VRAM.

That does not mean the YO2 replaces every workstation. A dedicated desktop GPU will still be faster for many rendering, gaming, and AI tasks. But for a compact system, the combination of 16 Zen 5 cores, Radeon 8060S graphics, and 128GB memory is serious hardware.
Three M.2 slots and strong I/O make it more than a basic mini PC
The YO2 also stands out because of its expansion and port layout. PELADN lists three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 slots, which is more than many compact Strix Halo systems. That gives buyers room for a larger storage setup without needing external drives.
Networking includes two 2.5GbE ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. For a compact workstation, dual Ethernet is useful for NAS access, local network transfers, development setups, or separating work and internet traffic.
External I/O is also strong. The system includes two USB4 40Gbps Type C ports, both with DisplayPort 1.4 output. It also has three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.0. PELADN says the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs support up to 8K 60Hz.
The chassis measures 193 x 246 x 92 mm and weighs 1.85 kg. That makes it larger than many small mini PCs, but still far smaller than a normal desktop workstation. PELADN ships the system with Windows 11 Pro, and the spec sheet also mentions Linux support.
The price shows where Strix Halo mini PCs are heading
The YO2 is not priced for casual buyers. At around $3,030, it is clearly aimed at people who need compact workstation hardware and are willing to pay for it. The 128GB memory configuration, 2TB SSD, multiple M.2 slots, and 120W mode all push it into a higher category.
PELADN does not usually sell all of its mini PCs globally, although some models can appear through wider retail channels. This specific YO2 model was listed in China, and broader availability is not clear yet.
The bigger story is that Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 mini PCs are becoming a serious niche. Acer, GMKtec, and other companies have already shown Strix Halo systems, and PELADN is now joining that group with a high memory configuration and aggressive power modes.
For most people, a cheaper mini PC or a normal desktop will make more sense. But for buyers who want a small system with workstation class CPU performance, powerful integrated graphics, large shared memory, AI acceleration, and plenty of storage options, the YO2 looks like one of the more capable Strix Halo mini PCs listed so far.
The main question will be whether its cooling can sustain performance in the 120W mode without excessive noise. If PELADN gets that balance right, the YO2 could be a strong option for compact AI and creator workloads, even if its price keeps it firmly in premium territory.
