Origin Code is taking enthusiast memory cooling in a very flashy direction.
The company has announced a new Vortex 48GB DDR5 kit ahead of Computex 2026, pairing high speed memory with an optional liquid cooled water block that includes its own LCD screen.
The kit uses two 24GB DDR5 modules for a total of 48GB. It runs at 6200 MT/s with CL28 timings, which is a strong combination of speed and latency. Origin Code also says the kit can reach 8000 MT/s through its Dual EXPO Profile P2, though at CL36.
That makes the kit more than a visual showcase. It is aimed at high end gaming, content creation, AI workloads, and heavy multitasking.
| Origin Code Vortex DDR5 kit | Details |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 48GB |
| Configuration | 2 x 24GB |
| Rated speed | DDR5 6200 |
| Timings | CL28 |
| EXPO profile | Up to 8000 MT/s at CL36 |
| Cooling option | Vortex Water Block |
| Display | 222 x 480 LCD at 60Hz |
| Showcase | Computex 2026 |
Origin Code already offers Vortex memory in several other capacities, including 32GB, 96GB, 192GB, and 256GB kits. Those kits range from 6000 to 6200 MT/s with CL26 to CL30 timings.
The new Vortex Water Block is the more unusual part. It uses a dual inlet and single outlet flow design with standard G1/4 threads, meaning it can connect to custom liquid cooling loops.
Origin Code says the water block can improve heat dissipation efficiency by up to 50 percent. In its own testing, memory temperatures reportedly dropped from around 66 degrees Celsius to about 31 degrees Celsius while running near 1.55V.

That could matter for overclockers pushing high voltages and tight timings, especially as high capacity DDR5 kits can get warm under heavy load.
The built in LCD screen adds another enthusiast focused feature. The display has a 178 degree viewing angle, a 222 x 480 resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate. It can show hardware stats and real time system information.
This is clearly not meant for normal budget builds. Most users do not need liquid cooled RAM, and many systems will run DDR5 perfectly fine with passive heatsinks or basic airflow. But for showcase PCs, extreme overclocking, and custom loop builds, the Vortex Water Block gives Origin Code something different.
Pricing and release details have not been announced yet. Origin Code plans to show the new 48GB Vortex DDR5 kit and the LCD equipped water block at Computex 2026.
For most PC builders, this will be overkill. For enthusiasts who want fast DDR5, tight timings, custom loop cooling, and another screen inside their case, Origin Code’s new Vortex setup is exactly the kind of excessive hardware Computex is made for.
