NEOWIZ has six games in development, with Lies of P sequel leading the lineup

NEOWIZ has shared a clearer look at its future game pipeline, and the Lies of P sequel is still the company’s biggest project.

The publisher reported KRW 101.4 billion in revenue for Q1 2026, or about $74 million. That is up 13.9 percent year over year, though down 4.6 percent compared with the previous quarter. Operating profit fell 32 percent year over year to KRW 7.0 billion, while net profit rose sharply to KRW 15.5 billion thanks to foreign exchange gains from the strong dollar.

The quarter did not include any major new releases. Mobile growth was helped by Browndust 2 anniversary events, while PC and console revenue remained steadier thanks to Lies of P: Overture and the indie title Shape of Dreams.

The bigger news is NEOWIZ’s development slate. The company has six projects in progress across internal studios and publishing partners.

The Lies of P sequel has moved past the prototype stage and is now in vertical slice development. That means ROUND8 is building a polished internal version that represents the intended combat, visuals, mechanics, and overall feel of the final game.

NEOWIZ says the team has already validated the sequel’s core fun elements and is now focused on improving the actual play experience and polish. That is a good sign, though it also means the game is still likely far from release.

ROUND8 is also putting more emphasis on storytelling. The studio said narrative is one of its core strengths and an important part of player immersion. It also argued that as global development costs rise, studios cannot rely only on technology or production scale to earn strong market responses.

That is an important point for the Lies of P sequel. The first game stood out because it did more than copy the Soulslike formula. Its Pinocchio inspired setting, dark world, and strong atmosphere helped give it a clear identity. If the sequel wants to grow, stronger storytelling could matter as much as combat improvements.

At the same time, ROUND8 is also moving toward generative AI tools. The studio is hiring an “AI creator” to help speed up art production, which suggests AI may become part of its asset or concept pipeline.

That will likely be controversial. Generative AI remains a sensitive topic in games, especially when used for art. Some players worry it could reduce human creative work or weaken a game’s visual identity. ROUND8 appears to be positioning AI as a productivity tool rather than a replacement for artists, but the studio may still need to explain how it plans to use the technology.

NEOWIZ’s slate shows the company wants to grow beyond one hit. Another Soulslike, a narrative RPG, a life sim, and externally developed RPG projects give it a wider PC and console strategy.

Still, the Lies of P sequel is clearly the anchor. The first game gave NEOWIZ and ROUND8 global recognition. Now the sequel has to prove that Lies of P can become a lasting franchise, not just a one time surprise.
