MSI’s new 32 inch OLED monitor can switch from 4K 360Hz to 1080p 680Hz

MSI has unveiled a new high end gaming monitor ahead of Computex 2026, and its biggest feature is flexibility. The MSI MPG OLED 322URDX36 is a 32 inch 4K QD OLED monitor that can run at 360Hz in 4K, 520Hz at 1440p, and up to 680Hz at 1080p.

That makes it one of the most ambitious OLED gaming monitors announced so far. Instead of forcing players to choose between high resolution and extreme refresh rates, MSI is trying to offer both in one screen. You can use the monitor at 4K 360Hz for sharp visuals, switch to 1440p 520Hz for a balance of clarity and speed, or drop to 1080p 680Hz for competitive gaming where frame rate matters most.

The monitor is built around Samsung’s latest Penta Tandem QD OLED panel. This new panel uses a five layer OLED stack designed to improve brightness. It also moves to an RGB stripe subpixel layout, which should help text clarity and image sharpness compared with older QD OLED panels that used a triangular subpixel structure.

The display also appears to be one of the first OLED monitors to reach VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. That means it can hit 600 nits in a 10 percent window and 350 nits across the full screen. MSI also claims peak brightness can reach up to 1,500 nits in smaller highlights, putting it closer to the brightness levels expected from newer premium OLED panels.

The 1440p mode is the most interesting part because 4K scales cleanly to 1080p, but not to 1440p. A 4K panel can turn four pixels into one for 1080p, but 1440p requires interpolation. That can lead to softness if handled poorly. MSI may be using a hardware scaler to manage this, but real world reviews will be needed to see how sharp the 1440p mode looks.

The monitor also includes DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, which provides up to 80Gbps of bandwidth. That matters because 4K 360Hz and high refresh OLED modes need a lot of data throughput. MSI has also added USB C with 98W power delivery, OLED care features, and a three year burn in warranty.

Another practical upgrade is the new DarkArmor film. MSI says it helps reduce raised black levels and gives the panel 40 percent deeper blacks. The surface hardness has also improved from 2H to 3H, which should make the screen more resistant to scratches. That is useful because many OLED monitors need careful cleaning and handling.

MSI is also adding a Uniform Luminance feature that lets you manage brightness behavior more directly. OLED monitors often use automatic brightness limiting to protect the panel and manage power, but this can make brightness shift during use. Giving you more control over that behavior could make the monitor feel more consistent.

Pricing has not been announced yet, but this will clearly be a premium product. Between the Penta Tandem QD OLED panel, triple mode refresh options, True Black 600 rating, DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, and 680Hz support, the MPG OLED 322URDX36 is aimed at buyers who want one monitor for both sharp 4K gaming and serious competitive play.
