MSI has introduced the EdgeMesa N AI Plus, a compact desktop built around NVIDIA's RTX Spark N1X platform and aimed primarily at local AI workloads.
The system combines a 20 core NVIDIA Grace CPU with a Blackwell based GPU containing 6,144 CUDA cores. MSI will offer configurations with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, giving the machine enough shared memory capacity for demanding AI models and professional applications.
Storage support reaches up to 4 TB through a single NVMe SSD slot.
RTX Spark N1X targets compact AI workstations
NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform is expected to be offered in N1 and N1X configurations, with the N1X positioned as the more powerful option.
MSI has selected the N1X for the EdgeMesa N AI Plus.
The company says the mini PC can deliver up to 1 petaFLOP of FP4 AI performance. That level of low precision compute is aimed at workloads such as local inference, model experimentation and other AI tasks that can benefit from Blackwell GPU acceleration.

The large unified memory pool is particularly important for local AI because the CPU and GPU can work from the same memory rather than relying on a smaller dedicated VRAM allocation.
That can make it easier to load larger AI models within a compact desktop system.
Four high speed USB C ports are included
MSI has not yet published a complete specifications page, but several connectivity details have already been confirmed.
The EdgeMesa N AI Plus includes four USB C ports rated at up to 20 Gbps.
Three of those ports support DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.4 for connecting external monitors, while one also supports Power Delivery for charging compatible devices.
MSI has not yet confirmed whether traditional USB Type A ports will be included.
The machine also offers HDMI 2.1b for display output and a 10 Gb Ethernet connection for high speed wired networking.
Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The chassis uses a silver finish with a heavily ventilated front section, which should help manage the thermal demands of the Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU inside a small enclosure.
Local AI is the main focus, but other workloads are possible
Although MSI is presenting the EdgeMesa N AI Plus as an AI focused system, the underlying hardware should also be suitable for professional computing and some gaming workloads.
The 6,144 CUDA core Blackwell GPU provides considerably more general purpose GPU capability than a typical integrated graphics solution, while the 128 GB unified memory configuration gives the system substantial capacity for content creation and compute workloads.
Its strongest use case, however, is likely to be running AI locally without depending entirely on cloud infrastructure.
That could include inference, development work, testing models and other workloads where keeping data on the local system is important.
MSI has not announced pricing or a release date for the EdgeMesa N AI Plus yet. More complete specifications are also expected once the company publishes its full product documentation.
