Lenovo is introducing a new mainstream laptop range called IdeaPad Vibe, combining a $699.99 starting price with extensive color customization, OLED display options, and a choice of AMD or Qualcomm processors.
The IdeaPad Vibe will be sold in 14 inch and 15 inch sizes. AMD powered models are scheduled to arrive in October 2026, while Qualcomm Snapdragon X versions will follow in November at the same starting price. Intel configurations are also planned for a later date.
One of the biggest differences from typical Windows laptops is customization. Lenovo will offer seven colors developed with Pantone, along with different keyboard colors and swappable keycaps.

Seven Colors Give Buyers More Choice
The IdeaPad Vibe will be available in Chill Blue, Zen Green, Spicy Gold, Radiant Coral, Dreamy Violet, Lowkey Grey, and Moody Blue.
Lenovo says these finishes were developed with the Pantone Color Institute.
Buyers will also be able to combine different chassis and keyboard colors through a configurator.
Swappable custom keycaps add another level of personalization, something that remains unusual for mainstream laptops.
The focus on color gives Lenovo a simple way to separate the IdeaPad Vibe from competitors that commonly offer only silver, black, or grey finishes.
AMD and Snapdragon Models Target Different Buyers
The AMD version will use Ryzen AI 400 series processors.
These configurations support up to 32GB of upgradeable memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
AMD models can also be configured with either a 50Wh or 65Wh battery, giving buyers more flexibility between weight, endurance, and hardware capability.
Snapdragon X models will support up to 24GB of memory.
The exact Snapdragon processor has not yet been confirmed, so it is unclear whether Lenovo will use a first generation Snapdragon X chip or a newer X2 model.

The Snapdragon versions are likely to focus more heavily on battery efficiency and Copilot+ PC features on supported configurations.
Intel powered IdeaPad Vibe laptops are planned, but Lenovo has not provided a launch date or processor details.
OLED and 120Hz IPS Displays Are Available
Display choices vary depending on configuration.
OLED panels will be available with up to 100% DCI P3 color coverage, making them more suitable for media consumption and color sensitive work.
IPS models can offer refresh rates as high as 120Hz.
The smaller 14 inch model starts at around 1.3kg, or 2.87 pounds, helping keep the system competitive with other portable mainstream laptops.
Connectivity Is More Complete Than Many Thin Laptops
Lenovo is including a relatively practical port selection.
The IdeaPad Vibe offers USB A and USB C connections, HDMI, a MicroSD card reader, and dual SSD slots.
WiFi 7 support is also included.
For video calls and Windows sign in, the laptops can be configured with a 5MP IR webcam that includes a physical privacy shutter.
The dual SSD design is particularly useful because it provides more storage flexibility than many thin laptops that rely on a single internal drive.
Lenovo Is Targeting the Mainstream Laptop Market
The IdeaPad Vibe is positioned against increasingly competitive lower priced premium laptops.
Its $699.99 starting price puts it in the same broad segment as several recent Windows notebooks and Apple's more affordable MacBook models.
Lenovo's main difference is customization rather than one standout specification.
Buyers can choose between multiple processor platforms, display types, memory configurations, and a much wider selection of colors.
AMD powered IdeaPad Vibe laptops will be the first to arrive in October 2026, followed by Snapdragon X models in November.
With both starting at $699.99, Lenovo appears to be using personalization, upgrade flexibility, and processor choice to make the IdeaPad Vibe stand out in an increasingly crowded mainstream laptop category.
