Intel Core Ultra X9 378H appears in Lenovo’s Yoga Air 14 Ultra Aura

Intel’s Core Ultra X9 378H has finally appeared in a real laptop listing, with Lenovo preparing to use the Panther Lake chip inside its Yoga Air 14 Ultra Aura.

The laptop has gone up for pre order on JD.com in China, though the listed 99,999 yuan price is only a placeholder. That converts to more than $14,000, which is far beyond normal laptop pricing and clearly not the final retail price.

The important part is the chip. The Core Ultra X9 378H has been mostly absent from the market so far, unlike Intel’s higher end Core Ultra X9 388H. Lenovo’s Yoga Air 14 Ultra Aura may be one of the first laptops to actually ship with it.

The 378H appears to be a slightly lower clocked version of the 388H. It uses the same 16 core layout, with 4 performance cores, 8 efficient cores, and 4 low power efficient cores. It also includes integrated graphics with 12 Xe3 cores. The main difference is a 100MHz lower boost clock.

That means performance should be close to the Core Ultra X9 388H, even if Lenovo skips the flagship SKU for this model.

The Yoga Air 14 Ultra Aura will also be offered with several other Panther Lake chips, including Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 5 338H, and Core Ultra X7 358H. A FIFA limited edition version is also listed.

The laptop itself is expected to be a thin and light 14 inch device. The listing mentions 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, though full specifications have not been detailed yet.

This looks like a premium productivity laptop rather than a gaming machine. The 12 core Xe3 integrated GPU should still matter, especially for media work, light gaming, AI features, and power efficient graphics performance.

The Core Ultra X9 378H showing up is a useful sign for Intel’s Panther Lake rollout. Intel now has more Core Ultra Series 3 chips moving into actual laptop designs, and Lenovo seems ready to offer them across a broad range of configurations.

For buyers, the Yoga Air 14 Ultra Aura could become an interesting option if the final price is reasonable. It brings a compact 14 inch form factor, modern Panther Lake silicon, high end integrated graphics, and a premium Lenovo design.

For Intel, the bigger point is visibility. The Core Ultra X9 378H is no longer just a missing SKU on paper. It is now showing up in Lenovo’s upcoming laptop lineup, and that means more Panther Lake devices should follow soon.
