Hot Wheels Infinite Rush has leaked ahead of its expected Summer Game Fest 2026 reveal, giving players an early look at Milestone’s next arcade racing game. The title, trailer, platforms, price, and release date reportedly appeared before the official announcement, with the game currently expected to launch on September 24, 2026.
The leak was first reported by Billbil kun at Dealabs, who has a strong record with early gaming information. Still, until Milestone or the publisher officially confirms the details, this should be treated as a report rather than final information.
Milestone is returning to the Hot Wheels franchise after developing Hot Wheels Unleashed and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, both of which were well received as fast, accessible arcade racers. The studio did not work on Hot Wheels Let’s Race: Ultimate Speed, which launched last year from Bamtang Games and GameMill Entertainment. That game arrived during a crowded October 2025 window and struggled to stand out against bigger releases.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush could give Milestone a chance to bring the franchise back into a stronger position. The leaked trailer has since been taken down, but the early information suggests another high speed racing game built around toy cars, bright orange tracks, loops, jumps, and exaggerated course designs.
September 2026 is already becoming a difficult release window
According to the report, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is planned for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is also expected to cost $49.99 in the United States.
That price places it above some smaller arcade racers but below many full priced AAA releases. For a recognizable brand like Hot Wheels, that could be a reasonable position if the game includes enough tracks, modes, vehicles, customization, and replay value.

The release date may be the biggest challenge. September 2026 is already looking crowded, partly because publishers appear to be avoiding the period close to Grand Theft Auto 6. Launching before GTA 6 may seem safer, but many companies seem to be making the same decision, which is turning September into a packed month of its own.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush reportedly launches on the same day as Control Resonant and Silent Hill Townfall, with Onimusha: Way of the Sword arriving one day later. Other major games are also expected around that month, including Marvel’s Wolverine. That means even a strong arcade racer could face a difficult fight for attention.
Milestone’s past Hot Wheels games give Infinite Rush a strong foundation
Milestone has already shown that it understands the Hot Wheels fantasy. Hot Wheels Unleashed worked because it treated small toy cars with the energy of a full arcade racing game. The tracks felt fast, colorful, and playful, while the handling was easy enough for newcomers but still enjoyable for players chasing better times.
Infinite Rush will likely need to build on that formula rather than simply repeat it. The name suggests speed and scale, but the leak does not yet explain what is new. Milestone could expand track creation, online racing, vehicle progression, environmental variety, or larger campaign systems. Until the official reveal happens, those details remain unclear.
The timing of the leak is also not surprising. Major showcases often bring early store pages, social posts, or trailer uploads that go live too soon. This year, several games have reportedly had details appear early, including Minecraft Dungeons 2, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Rayman Legends: Retold, Cronos: Lazarus, and Hot Wheels Infinite Rush.
For now, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush looks like another September 2026 release trying to get ahead of the year’s biggest games. The Hot Wheels brand and Milestone’s experience give it a clear advantage, but the crowded calendar may be its biggest obstacle. If the official reveal confirms strong content and meaningful improvements over Unleashed, Infinite Rush could still find its audience despite the noise.
