Hell Let Loose: Vietnam brings 50 vs 50 jungle warfare to Xbox in June

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is coming to Xbox Series X and Series S on June 18, 2026, giving Xbox players a new large scale Vietnam War shooter next month. The game moves the Hell Let Loose series away from its World War 2 setting and into dense jungle combat, river warfare, and era specific weapons.

The game will keep the series’ focus on teamwork and tactical play. Matches will feature 50 vs 50 battles where squads need to coordinate, use resources carefully, and work together instead of relying only on individual skill.

Team17 says Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will launch with six large maps based on real world locations. These maps will include dramatic terrain and weather variations, which should make visibility, movement, and positioning more important during battles.

The Vietnam setting also brings new weapons, vehicles, and tactical options. US forces will have aerial units, while the NVA will use more resourceful ground based tactics. River combat is another major addition, with heavily armed patrol boats letting both sides hunt through Vietnam’s waterways.

The setting could help Hell Let Loose: Vietnam stand out on Xbox. There are many World War 2, modern military, and futuristic shooters on the platform, but Vietnam focused FPS games are much less common. That gives this sequel a clearer identity if it can deliver the same tension and teamwork that made the first game popular.

A free beta is planned before launch, but for now it is only confirmed for Steam PC players. Xbox players will have to wait for the full release unless a console test is announced later.

Some fans are excited, but there is also caution. The original Hell Let Loose had a rough Xbox launch, and the lack of console beta testing may worry players who want to see how the Xbox version performs before buying. That makes launch polish especially important.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has a strong idea behind it. If the maps, gunplay, console performance, and squad systems come together well, it could become one of the more interesting military shooters on Xbox this summer.
