Gigabyte launches AORUS RTX 5090 Infinity with hidden triple fan cooling and big factory overclock

Gigabyte has launched its AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 Infinity, a premium custom graphics card built around NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and 32GB of GDDR7 memory.

The card stands out because of its unusual cooler design. At first glance, it looks like a dual fan graphics card, but Gigabyte has actually built a triple fan cooling system into the shroud. Two large Hawk fans are visible from the outside, while a third center “Overdrive” fan sits inside the design and activates when the card needs extra airflow.

The RTX 5090 Infinity uses Gigabyte’s Windforce Hyperburst cooling system. It includes a direct touch vapor chamber, superconducting heat pipes, composite metal grease for the GPU, and server grade thermal gel for the VRAM and MOSFETs.

Gigabyte says the cooler improves air pressure by up to 53.6 percent and air volume by 12.5 percent while reducing turbulence and noise. The card also uses a dual flow through design to push hot air out more efficiently.

Despite the advanced cooling system, the card keeps a fairly compact footprint for a high end RTX 5090. It uses a triple slot design and measures 330mm long, 145mm tall, and 65mm thick. The shroud and backplate are made from die cast metal, giving the card a more premium build.

The AORUS RTX 5090 Infinity also uses the square shaped Founders Edition style PCB rather than a standard long PCB. The 16 pin power connector is placed vertically, and the card still only needs one 16 pin connector instead of the dual connector setup used on some extreme overclocked models.

Performance is another major focus. Gigabyte ships the card with a 2730MHz boost clock, which is 323MHz higher than NVIDIA’s 2407MHz reference boost clock. That makes it a heavily overclocked RTX 5090 out of the box.

Here is a quick look at the main details:

The card also includes RGB Halo lighting and a silver and black design with circular cutouts that support its flow through cooling approach. It is clearly built for buyers who want a powerful RTX 5090 but also care about design, noise, and thermals.

Gigabyte has not listed official pricing yet. Based on current RTX 5090 pricing, the AORUS RTX 5090 Infinity could land somewhere between $3,500 and $5,000.

That makes it far from affordable, but this is not a mainstream card. It is aimed at high end PC builders who want one of the fastest custom RTX 5090 models available, with a compact premium cooler and a large factory overclock already applied.
