The Future Games Show at Gamescom 2026 is set to deliver another large round of gaming announcements, with more than 40 Xbox and PC titles scheduled to appear alongside 13 world premieres.

The event follows Gamescom Opening Night Live and will include new trailers, gameplay demonstrations and developer interviews. Confirmed games include Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault and Tides of Annihilation.

The showcase takes place on August 26, 2026, and will be streamed across YouTube, Twitch, X and Steam.

More than 40 games are part of the showcase

The Future Games Show will cover a mixture of previously announced projects and completely new games. Organizers have confirmed that 13 unannounced titles will receive world premieres during the broadcast.

That makes the event one of the larger Gamescom showcases outside Opening Night Live, particularly if you are interested in games coming to Xbox and PC.

One of the biggest confirmed appearances is Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Capcom's revival of the action series. The game features Miyamoto Musashi as its protagonist and is expected to receive another look during the broadcast.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is also part of the lineup. The sequel continues the action RPG structure of the original while expanding its dungeon crawling and progression systems.

Tides of Annihilation will also appear. The character action game draws from Arthurian mythology and has already attracted attention for its fantasy setting and combat.

The showcase is expected to mix gameplay footage with developer interviews, giving studios additional time to explain projects that may not receive lengthy presentations during Gamescom's larger events.

FGS Live will continue after the main show

The main Future Games Show will not mark the end of the day's announcements.

After the primary broadcast concludes, FGS Live is scheduled to continue with more trailers, reveals and developer discussions. This second part of the event will place more attention on smaller projects.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is among the games expected to appear during FGS Live. The sequel follows the original retro styled first person shooter and will receive additional coverage alongside other smaller releases.

With more than 40 games across the main presentation and further content planned afterward, the Future Games Show provides another substantial part of the Gamescom 2026 schedule.

For Xbox and PC players, the main attraction will be the combination of known games and 13 new world premieres. Between Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Tides of Annihilation, Moonlighter 2 and the additional announcements still being kept secret, the event should provide a broad look at games coming over the months and years ahead.
