Crimson Desert players can now save and switch between multiple outfits using a new community mod, addressing a commonly requested feature ahead of the game's upcoming Charting the Unknown expansion.
Developed by modder lucsOli, the Outfit Loadouts mod allows players to store nine equipment configurations for each playable character and switch between them without manually equipping individual armor pieces.
The mod is available on Nexus Mods and arrives before Pearl Abyss releases its major expansion on October 29, 2026.
While the update will introduce romance, marriage, property management, and additional exploration activities, an official outfit loadout system has not been confirmed.
Crimson Desert Outfit Loadouts Mod Supports Three Characters
The mod works with all three playable characters: Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka. Each character receives nine independent outfit slots, allowing players to maintain different appearances and equipment combinations.
The system also supports keyboard shortcuts and controller inputs, making it easier to change outfits during gameplay.
Players can save their current equipment using Ctrl and a number from 1 to 9. Pressing Shift and the corresponding number equips the saved outfit.
The mod also integrates its functionality into the existing character selection wheel, making outfit management feel similar to the game's standard interface.
Onscreen notifications confirm when an outfit is saved or renamed.
This removes the need to equip individual armor pieces and accessories every time players want to change their character's appearance.
The feature is particularly useful because Crimson Desert includes numerous equipment options, while Abyss Gear plays an important role in determining equipment abilities.
Charting the Unknown Adds Romance, Marriage and New Activities
Pearl Abyss is preparing several substantial additions through the Charting the Unknown expansion.
The update will introduce romantic relationships and marriage, allowing players to develop closer connections with characters throughout Pywel.
Additional features include expanded home customization, business management, and opportunities to claim properties.
Players will also be able to challenge previously defeated bosses again to obtain exclusive rewards.
Ocean exploration is another major addition, expanding the activities available beyond the existing adventure.
Crimson Desert launched earlier in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game has reportedly generated $427 million in revenue.
Although the expansion introduces numerous gameplay systems, the community developed Outfit Loadouts mod addresses an equipment management feature that players have requested separately.
The expansion launches October 29, while PC players can already access the outfit modification.
